Tulio Torres 297 words | His clothes were bright, his hair was sparkling, he was lean, tan, and exotic...
... he was cold and lost. Unless there was something cute or sexy about feeling cornered and alone, poor Tulio wasn't exactly looking his best. Although his pants were a sleek, form fitting black; his shirt was a spotless, pressed-clean white; and his red vest glimmered with golden decor -- he simply looked ill. His hair was ruffled from the sea wind; his skin was pale, and he shook furiously from the bone-chilling climate. The poor boy was NOT dressed for winter, and he couldn't help but angrily babble to himself. Occasionally he'd turn his map over, only to slap at it, yelling at it with increased frustration.
"Esto no es ser el lugar..."
"Sé que es un hecho," "... de que ella no debería estar nevando..!" His eyes grew glossy with fright and worry as he paced back and forth in front of the docks. He glanced between the map, and the architecture before him. This was nothing like the land he had read about... where even was he? Why was he here? He'd spent weeks on the boat behind him! How had nobody told him where they were going? Maybe they would have if he'd asked before now...
Now, poor Tulio only felt like a fool. Now he was stuck in some strange tundra forest, where some bear might just wander up to him and maul him to half death before eating him alive. He'd never find his father HERE! How was he supposed to pay for the trip back!? He wasn't the one that paid for the trip HERE to begin with! If only he knew where 'here' was, and who might be able to help his poor, lost soul. | |

Suna hadn't been expecting much of interest when she stopped in this city. Of course, there were people about, but in all honesty, she was simply tired. Running about all day did that to a girl, and she was just trying to wander about and find someplace to sleep for... like, maybe the rest of eternity(?) when she found someone. Ah yes, 'found'. More like, chanced across and promptly wasted all too much time staring at. It was because... he appeared to have some issue with a map. At least, that's what Suna could figure out by body language, but in all honesty, what the man was saying to the map was complete jibberish to Suna. At best. Well, it sounded kind of nice. But it was still jibberish. For several moments, she debated getting involved. She just wanted to sleep, okay? She didn't have to go get involved in what everyone else was doing! That was a stranger! That said, something about his demeanor - and the fact that her mother never taught her to go and turn her back on people for no good reason - was the deciding factor, and she approached the man, her fingers already playing with the end of her own ear. ... can... you... understand... me? Suna decided to say, being very careful to sound out her words properly. Unfortunately, this tended to come across as patronizing at best. do you have a problem...? with the map? --

Tulio Torres 563 words | In his darkest hour, in the blistering cold; a heroine approached....
...and he nearly loaded his drawers. The fine-dressed young man shook and shuddered in recoiling surprise. Never had he seen such a sight! WAS THAT A TALKING RABBIT?! THE EARS! OH, NAGA THE EARS!
Luckily, his panic attack was a silent one. The fact he was startled was unmistakable. He'd jumped so strongly, that he'd tripped over his own foot -- about to fall backwards.
Although, a lesser man would have fallen on his rear end, Tulio was graceful and swift. The moment he'd tripped over his foot, he'd placed a foot behind him, to catch himself. Sadly, this was not enough. He tripped over the foot he'd saved himself from tripping over. Miraculously, the boy somehow accidentally danced his way backwards until his back thumped into a dock piling. His breath rose and fell quickly and quietly, his chest pumping from the shock. His fingers prodded at the post behind him as he tried to regain his ability to speak.
His wide, glistening green eyes locked with hers as he absorbed who -- or what was speaking to him. A few puffs escaped his lungs before a familiar shape caught his attention. His gaze darted down, only to find a set of shapes he'd come to admire over the last seven-or-so years. The soft, and sensual slopes and slides of a healthy woman; the twirls and curls of full, luscious locks; the warm, inviting glow of a gentle blush, to frame such firm and fearless parting lips.
... AND BIG, FLUFFY EARS!? Admittedly, the lad was going to have some trouble ignoring that she was literally a giant talking rabbit; but for whatever reason he still found her just as attractive as any girl back home. Now the flush in his cheeks that simply kept his face warm only grew brighter with his increasingly impure thoughts of her. Perhaps it wouldn't be such a bad idea to actually use what Ylissean tongue he'd practiced for when he met his father..! It seemed like a much better alternative to creepily eyeing her over and blushing.
"Ay mami...!"
"... yes, I do hear you..! Loud and cloudless..!"
Once the initial shock was over, his eyes lit up, and he greeted the lovely lady. His fingers spread, and tented over his heart as he apologized to her.
"Forgive me! I am afraid - when I not see you - when you do speak..! I see you now, and my eyes are happy, yes?" An eye closed as he lifted his chin to smile at her. He passed her a sort of elongated wink as her large, floppy ears began to grow on him. He wasn't sure if he was attracted to them -- but at least he thought they were cute, in addition to what human-like parts of her he recognized.
"Miss..! I am never see girl like you. In my home, Yspaña Isla; los conejos are small. ¡Saltar, saltar! Do not talk..! I am wish that all conejos are like you! It will make many boys smile!"
"... but enough words from canalla, like me, yes?"
The young man bent his knees, bowing slightly, before offering his hand to her.
"My name is Tulio Torres. What is your name?"
"... Please tell; I would love to use it many times."

It was definitely strange to be the one that caused alarm, and not the one being alarmed. The man jumped, taking several steps back, and it was all Suna could do to let out a confused little ah? - not really understanding why he was so... alarmed about it. She just said hello, and not even loudly - maybe he just didn't notice her approaching, so wrapped up in his map? Suna kicked around a few ways to apologize, but otherwise remained silent - until the man began to speak - with an acknowledgement and an apology. His grammar... wasn't, er, the best. It was enough for Suna to know that her mother would not like this man. That said, could she really blame him? It was a step up from the words she couldn't understand, even if he peppered words like that around in his speech as if it were a very bland meal. y... yspaña isla...? Suna couldn't help echoing, quietly - what was a yspana? And why was it so hard to say? los c- Here, Suna closed her mouth entirely, because right on cue, the man asked her not to talk. What was conejos? Was it a word for Taguel? ... Girl? ...Her ears? And what was a canella? Suna sniffed, relegating to watching as the man bowed, and asked for her name. ...suna. uh, sorry for surprising you... she finally said, and then gazed away from Tulio, holding onto her ear. what's a canella? and, uh, did you have a problem with the map, or... Not that Tulio wasn't a handsome man, but in all honesty, Suna was both awkward around those that she perceived as attractive and - in this case - wholly focused on getting some shut eye, not some booty. (She wouldn't know how she'd go about getting the booty in any case, considering this man appeared to be very... er, lost. Let's go with lost.) --
