He's aware. I've intentionally made him sound like he's naive in his bio and personality by playing up his pureness and youth. Most people would assume he's a naive stupid virgin. Only one of those three things is true. He's actually pretty smart. Saar's a shoddy replacement for the knight captain he knew growing up and doesn't like him at all. As for Maeve she's his queen so he'll follow her word without question. Like, for example, he strongly believes she made the wrong choice in exiling Ascher but he wont speak up against her because he believes it isn't his place. Its hard to say where his feelings lie on the relationship spectrum. He definitely likes her for her honesty and wish for a better world though. Edit: Update, he totally has the hots for his queen. Alto Lmao @ the update. I think she could really use someone to attempt to indicate that maybe like just MAYBE her captain is bad news. Once/if she gets over that crush (god I hope she does, but until there's reason for her to believe Saar's not the best shit since sliced bread, that won't happen), I think she'll be able to find someone else for her affections. I'm not sure that'll be Alto, but we can see. I just wrapped up a thread with Ariel, so I can probably do another one soon. Perhaps we can do a quick thread set before he heads out to Ferox to see how they interact?

Maeve That can most certainly be arranged. I'm pretty bad at thread starts though.

I absolutely should throw Vee at Lilou some time, the aspiring knight in shining armor and noblewoman is quite likely to know the name, and possibly even search her out for all kinds knightly advice. Word does get around in those high class circles.
Maybe to see if she's glamorous too, but that's just Victorie.

victorie I only just realized that her name's not Victoire. I... feel really smart now. If they've run into each other before on the jousting lists (I feel like they must've at least been in a few of the same tournaments even if they've never been matched against each other), then I think Lilou has a good opinion of her. She's inclined to at least respect anybody that handles a horse well, anyway. They could've been friendly rivals, although since Victoire started later, it might make more sense if she were more of a mentor? They're pretty close in age, but two years older is a lot during those teenage years. Anyway, if they haven't crossed paths that way, I figure they have/will just by virtue of both being nobility. We can definitely conspire a reason for them to meet, because THEY SHOULD HANG OUT AND TALK ABOUT PONIES. ...Lilou has incredible proportions bc fairy tail is all about fan service, but she's a bit too straight-laced to be glamorous alas. Unless you dig that, I guess.

I actually really like the idea that they jousted against one another, even if almost every time it ended up with Vee on her butt and a cracked shield. And after a few more instances of that happening over and over, they would probably strike up a relationship that would lead to the elder taking the younger under her wing a bit, list partners! We'll have to arrange a reunion between the two then, and yes, Pony gossip is something that sorely must happen. And the pre-requisite 'Hah I'm still bigger than you' comment. Lilou

victorie I'm down for all of that. c: I'm also down to thread whenever, but it's going to be slow in this upcoming week since draft 1 of my thesis is due soon and I've only written two pages oh my god. But if you want to start a thread, just tag her, and I'll be there when I find a study break. Otherwise, let me know when you're good, and we can figure out stuff then?

MaeveThis goes against how I do things but I have been sufficiently bribed by the contest. Rikon is essentially Elincia (I don't actually know if you've played Tellius until now. I know I asked that before; I promptly forgot.) He's the son of the most powerful lord in Talys but his existence had been kept a secret from the world. After learning that his father and the other nobles are conspiring to start a coup and break away from the halidom, Rikon makes the tough decision to leave and join the Knights. He's a gentle person just like Maeve and wants peace for everyone. But unlike her, he's completely powerless and has no will - as of the moment - to oppose his father completely. So he ran - well, running right now - to be with the Knights who are similar to Chrom's Shepherds. I'm detailing Rikon's journey out of Talys and into Pyrathi because he'll be making a very bold move: killing Maeve. Once he's reached the Knights, he'll learn that Maeve is with them and will attempt to kill her himself. Obviously, this is going to fail but it will fail in a way that there may be lots of blood from Maeve. It's why I asked you to give me a head's up when Maee is intending to come back to Plegia. I estimated it would be the time Rikon would reach Pyrathi and get to Maeve with just the two of them, pretending to be a Cydonian Knight. I hope this plot is cool enough.

Hi, hello, this is Maeve's Captain speaking, would you like to plan out some sort of ROMANCE SUBPLOT or otherwise related shenanigans?

@rikon Hm, in that case, it'd have to be between when she leaves Pyrathi and ends up at the halloween event, wouldn't it? If there's lots of blood, it'll have to be the kind that's relatively easy to patch up. I can make a note of some injuries in my next post with her, probably hidden under her clothes or something. I've written her outfit to be pretty revealing though, so I guess he stabbed her in the boob, because that's covered up at least. Let me know when you feel like threading?
@rowan I am going to be incredibly unhelpful and say I actually had zero plans for where this romance thing might go. But yeah, in case you didn't notice, Maeve's crush is the really dumb kind where all sentient thought goes MIA. I LOVE LESYAY and this site so far doesn't have enough of it yet, so I am down for anything re: that. I normally play romance plots by ear, but hey if you want a flow chart, let's work on a flow chart. Find me on skype? Or we can milk sweet sweet buillions out of the plotter forum too, up to you.

Maeve i find that working all of the small romance stuff that makes romance so sickly sweet and fun to write is left for in-thread discoveries, but some big stuff can be planned out for ease of "watdo to get lesyay". I find that, in some form or another, Rowan would def go out of her way to get in some one-on-one teaching with Maeve to teach the ole queen how to defend herself sans weapons/magic. Basic disarming and shit if someone tried to knife her in her face kind of stuff. I'm sure something can come of that. Alt ideas include but are not limited to Rowan trying to console Maeve after a particularly bad diplomatic meeting, fretting over security at X Event, Rowan v Maeve in a game of strategy [who even knows if maeve plays i sure dont], arguing over the Grimlosers [since Rowan kinda doesnt wanna start an internal war over them], etc etc

Maeve Rikon isn't exactly an assassin so I doubt Maeve is going to be left with a serious injury. But oh eff no. Don't set this before the Halloween event. It's going to be far too inconsistent. Maybe have Maeve come back after the Halloween event in Pyrathi really quickly? I don't want to jumble stuffs up. Alternatively, you can just say no to my plot. Maeve has a lot going on already anyway >>
