victorie
It was rare when a time came that Valeria was off-duty and she actually felt comfortable with just kicking back and relaxing for a while, as such, she often took the chance to do so when it came. This was one such occasion. After getting a nice meal and having a few drinks at the pub, Valeria wandered through the streets of Yllistol. She wasn't quite drunk, but it was still fairly obvious that she had just had a few drinks. If she were to try and put it into words, she'd say she was "really buzzed", which, in all honesty, wasn't really that far off. All in all, she looked like someone who had just had a good time.
For once, she was dressed in her regular clothes, which weren't exactly brimming with grace and subtlety. She also had her axe strapped to her waist, choosing to keep it with her in case some idiot tried anything funny. Given who she was and the kind of reputation she had, she wasn't exactly worried, but it never hurt to be careful. Better safe than sorry, as they say. That said, the irony in all of this was that she herself probably looked pretty shady without her guard armor on. Of course, the people in this area knew her quite well, so there wouldn't be any issue with them. For anyone else, the sight of a somewhat drunk woman who may or may not look a lot like a bandit would probably raise a few red flags. But what were the chances of that happening?

Pomp And utter complete circumstance
Those from the area certainly wouldn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but then, the simply lavishly dressed Pegasus Knight most definitely was not from the area. She would be making her way downtown (Walking fast, faces pass and I'm home bound), head held high and body gently swaying with each rhythmic movement of the snow white pegasus below her. She's in her silver armor, bootie shorts and all around wholly and utterly Victorie! Even down the rich lavender cape she has draped over her shoulders, the silver embroidered thing falling about the withers of her mount as the young woman places her hands on the saddle of the pegasus and yawns. It was late, she was looking to make it to her father's villa without all that much fuss, but one had to be careful in this part of town as even a proper knight was not above the encroachments of those with a moral compass lesser than her own.
She did recently join a death cult though, so that may not be saying much.
She'll close her eyes for a moment, head tilting left and right as she hums some waltz to herself, her shoulders and body moving with the tune before her mount nickers gently and pulls up, tilting to the right as the oblivious knight quite nearly runs over poor Valeria. And, for her trouble, Valeria will get quite the look as the pegasus knight takes up the reigns in her gloves and sneers the snootiest sneer one could imagine. "What are you wearing?" She'll ask, her nose screwing up as if she's caught a wiff of a particularly unappealing scent. Her judgement look will then turn to narrowed eyes as she tenses some, it seems she has caught sight of the axe...
Valeria has to have experience dealing with uppity nobles. Right? ... Right?

To be fair to Victorie, Valeria hadn't really been paying attention to where she was going. As such, she didn't notice the pegasus that had come dangerously close to trampling her until it was almost too late. She was pretty buzzed, but not enough to prevent her from narrowly avoiding the creature. Since she had somehow failed to realize that the horse was there, she was ready to take the blame for the whole mess. "Whew...sorry 'bout that...guess I zoned out for a bit...wasn't payin' attention t'where I was goin'." Needless to say, almost getting run over by a pegasus was a somewhat sobering experience, so she was a little more alert now.
When she heard the noble's question, Valeria was genuinely confused. Of course, it hadn't quite registered that she was dealing with nobility, so she took the question as literally as one possibly could. "...um...they're clothes. People wear them...a lot. Or would you prefer I wander around naked?..." She paused for a moment, then suddenly had a look on her face as though she had just discovered the secrets of the universe. "Wait!...are...are you hitting on me? I-I mean...I'm flattered, but I don't really swing that way..." Another brief pause. "...okay...that was a lie. I do kinda swing that way, but that's not the point."
So then what was her point? Well...she didn't have one. She was just rambling due to her state of being sorta-but-not-quite drunk. It wasn't often that Valeria loosened up like this, but when she did, she really loosened up. "...actually, never mind. If you are hitting on me, I might be kinda okay with that. You're kinda pretty..." Yeah...not the best way to leave a first impression, Val.

Where there is Unity Victory Lies
Victorie creased her brow, head tilting to the right as she purses her lips and cocked an eyebrow. She... Is quite honestly caught entirely off guard, she'll lift a hand gently and let her jaw settle some before she sighs and rubs her forehead with a hand. She had thought the woman was a bandit or some kind of brigand, a ne'er do well or the like! But now, well, she's under the impression she's just a drunk. A very... Interesting drunk at that! She wasn't entirely sure on how to respond to those comments, her face still pulled into that perplexed expression. "For the sake of the good people of Ylisstol, please, please keep your clothes on." She will reply with a tut of her tongue, only to then blink and lean back with a cough at the second part!
She'd clear her throat, pulling her pegasus left and right, turning on the spot once more to settle her steed. "I was n- H-hey!" She'll start, bearing her teeth a bit as her cheeks glow a gentle red. She doesn't know why that kind of comment got at her, and she can't help but twitch as she shakes her head. "I am taken! Thank you!" She'll finally bark in reply to that mention of swinging. Now, maybe it wasn't particularly true to the full extent... But, she liked to think at the very least. And she was an absolute proponent of mind over matter.
"I- That is utterly uncouth and uncalled for!" She'll retort to being called pretty, her rich high class voice filled with indignant resistance. She was a graceful, elegant warrior! Not... Adorable or cute or anything! Augh! "And who are you to call me pretty? She'll question, she knew it was true. But still! Ugh!

Valeria blinked. It seemed she was wrong about the other girl hitting on her. Whoops. "Oh, my mistake...well...this is awkward." Clearing her throat, she looked around to see if there was anyone she could use as a scapegoat to leave this situation behind. Sadly, no such luck. Not many people were out this late, especially in this part of the city. Only reason Valeria was here was because cutting through this area made for a nice shortcut home. That way, she'd have plenty if time to soak in a nice hot bath before going to bed. Or, at least, that was the plan. Now she had to deal with this. Ah, the wonders of alcohol.
"Hey...um...I dunno what "uncouth" means, but if I upset you, I'm sorry. But I don't see why you're so mad. All I did was say you looked pretty. It was a compliment!" Then, the girl demanded to know who she was. Again, she was a little too drunk to realize she was dealing with nobility, so she more or less took the question at face value, giving her an answer while somewhat confused over what difference it made. "Eh? Oh...I'm Valeria Saren...captain of the guard. Tonight's my night off though, so if you've got any problems, it'll have to wait 'til tomorrow...unless it's reeeaaallly important." She wasn't sure why she mentioned that she was the captain, especially since it doesn't really matter at the moment. But whatever. Logic is overrated.

Where there is Unity Victory Lies
Victorie blinked, twitching her nose left and right before clearing her throat and gently releasing the reigns of her mount. Yes, this was exceedingly awkward and even the stiff backed Pegasus Knight was stewing in it quite a bit, cheeks still glowing a healthy pink and her lips locked into an almost half curious pursed manner. And then she'll blink once more and sigh as a gloved hand gently caresses her forehead with a sigh. "Gods, you're drunk." She'll comment, narrowing her eyes a bit and tilting her head left and right. She'll even let out a sigh, her eyes rolling upwards to appraise the night and possibly even ask why this would happen.
"And I am a noble! Victorie, Daughter of Duke Superior and representation of his will and land and you will pay my father proper respect." She'll huff, name dropping daddy-pies like the best of any little lordling. Aaaand then there's the remark about the Captain, the woman tilting her head some now and she clicks her tongue. That would explain your... Dress then. She'll reamrk, her voice full of disdain as she sighs some and slacks a bit in her saddle. "And where does the captain find herself going tonight?"

When Victorie made the incredibly astute observation that she was drunk, Valeria couldn't help but let out a snort of laughter "You only just now figured that out, Princess?" Amusingly enough, it wasn't until Victorie finally pointed it out that Valeria was able to realize that she was dealing with nobility. Not that it did Victorie any good. Her first thought was along the lines of "Wait is this guy seriously called Duke Superior? That has got to be the most pretentious thing I have ever heard". Luckily, she had just enough self-control to not actually say what she was thinking. That might have been bad, to say the least.
Instead, she pretended to be impressed and nodded "I see. I'll...um...definitely make sure I keep that in mind. I'm sure I'm on the top of the list of people to be invited to the next fancy dinner party, so I'll be sure to mind my manners when I meet him. Promise." The sarcasm in her voice was thick enough to be cut with a sword, but she didn't mean it as an insult. It was an extremely rare occasion that she ever directly dealt with nobility outside of randomly bumping into someone like she had just now, so she wasn't big on etiquette. That said, when she actually does have business with them, she's on her best behavior. However, this was not such an occasion. The alcohol was kinda not helping, either.
Letting out a sigh, she continued "As for where I'm going, I was actually on my way home just now. We're hitting a bandit camp in the morning...or was it Risen?...maybe Risen bandits. Either way, I need to be awake so I can kill some assholes who are targeting Ylisstol, so I'm gonna be calling it an early night. Since I'm not seeing two of you right now, I think that means I've avoided drinking enough to have a massive hangover when I wake up. Ever fight bandits while hungover? Not fun. Took an arrow to the knee...some of the other guards make that sound worse than it really is, but it still sucked." At this point, Valeria was just rambling. She tends to do that sometimes when she's had a few drinks.

Where there is Unity Victory Lies
Victorie will rest her hands on the back of her pegasus' neck, a brow arching a bit as she purses her lips some more and gives the other Ylissean the properly noble stink eye as she puts on a gentle sneer. Normally, she'd be abashed at being called Princess! But here, well, she knows better than to take it as a compliment, certainly coming from one so crude.
Anyways, she was a beautiful Pegapony Princess on the inside and no amount of cajoling by drunk Ylissean guards would ever change that fact! Nyeh!
"As you should." She'll remark with a sniff before turning the pegasus left and right a bit, the horse champing some and clipping it's hooves as it's rider gently, and possibly begrudgingly offers the other woman a smile. "But then, a Captain of the guard must be so preoccupied with their duties that the prospect of a proper dinner is beyond the realm of possibility." She remarks with a hum, oh my, is that a sly smile. It's disingenuous even! And well, quite mean even.
And then she'll nod along with the comments, before she clears her throat and leans down to wave her hand before Valeria's face as she mumbles on and on. "Crude language now dear." She'll tut gently as she leans back up and yawns. "That I haven't, but you would not be in need of help would you?" She asks, pursing her lips now. "I've not been robbed by Risen before, but it sounds awfully unfun." She remarks, still looking quite smug as she... Pokes her tongue out between her lips?
This one is odd.

(omg I'm so sorry. I thought I had responded to this, and I've been sitting here like "when is she going to post?" this entire time x.x )
Valeria let out a sigh. This girl was too snooty for her own good. If she wasn't such a cutie, she'd probably have lost her patience by now. Well, that and what little respect she had for nobility. She had nothing against them personally, though she didn't like how they often acted so high and mighty. Like they were so much better than everyone else just because they happened to have more money. That said, she couldn't deny that many of them were important, so she usually just shut her mouth and put up with them. Usually. Being a bit drunk more or less weakened her filter.
"I'll have you know that I eat quite well. It might not be as fancy or exotic as the stuff you're probably used to, though. Then again, most of my money goes to my father, so I don't necessarily eat everyday. Not that you'd know anything about that, I'm sure. Must be nice..." Letting out an annoyed grunt, she decided to stop before she ended up saying anything she was going to regret. Instead, she did her best to just pretend this person wasn't a snobby rich girl. She'd probably fail, but she'd at least try.
Rolling her eyes as the other woman chastised her for her language, and continued "Well, technically, Risen don't rob people...they just slaughter anyone who happens to have shitty enough luck to be in their path. What's worse is the bastards are much tougher then normal humans, so killing them can be a bitch" Yes, Valeria was going out of her way to use foul language; she was spiteful like that. "Anyway...I've probably taken up enough of your valuable time, so unless you have anything else to say, I think I'm gonna head home now."
