Tsan'lo sighed to herself in silence as she drew out her knife, beginning to remove the hide from the dead carcass of the bear. She disliked doing dirty work like this, she honestly did. But the bear had attacked her and she had to defend herself, and simply letting such good meat go to waste was not an option for a poor traveler like her. Maybe she could sell the hide later on.
After a few hours she was finished with taking the hide off of the bear's corpse as she then begun to drag it along with her to a forest clearing she had camped out at, sweat slowly beginning to drop from her forehead as she finally reached the campsite, releasing the carcass from her hold before drawing out her knife once more, cutting off some slabs from the meat as she then stuck a sharp stick trough it, holding the slab above her little fire as she begun to fry it.
The stars were out tonight.

don't cry, destroy these imprisoned illusions. just once rise above your demise. Don't cry tranquility, let us end this by our own actions.
Ah night, so beautiful so fun, so cool against her gentle fur, as the taguel jumped in between trees out of amusement. Such things were simple, and amusing to her, and they always had, despite the hunger that gnawed at her stomach. Her stone was wrapped around her neck in a collar like fashion, leaving her to simply wish to be normal again in order to turn herself back. But she had denied herself this too long, as night seemed to fall on her. Tilting her head, noticing a peak of the moon, the wolf howled, letting her voice echo across these woodlands within Ylisse. The taguel then continued on her path, smelling very lightly the scent of smoke and meat on the wind, along with a person.
Yes, the taguel truly was hungry, as she now stopped her bouncing. Slowly slinking to the light in between bushes, she would have been able to steal that smoking, tasty looking meat. If, and only if, she had not stumbled, and then fell right beside the poor human with a surprised bark. Now flat on her stomach, Rain could only feel the canine frustration well up, as she just made a whining noise and stayed there. Looking quite expressively miserable for a wolf probably, as she just stared at the meat. She smelled more raw meat, and she would eat it if she had to, but Naga darn it, there was a piece right there, smoking! Although, the taguel took in the situation afterwards.
This traveler wasn't at an inn, despite one being very close by. Was this traveler poor? The wolf taguel considered that for a moment, before rolling onto her back, staring at the person. Hmm... a female? Well that was surprising. A girl killed a bear? Atta girl, show'em the power of women! But Rain wondered if the poor person would actually attack her, or be stopped by the virtual oddity of the wolf. The white fur, and then the rain, blood like markings that swirled all over her body. And the collar too, that must be a major hint that this was not a normal wolf right? Did people actually think that fast? Rain almost confused herself with her own thoughts, because they were just too fast right now.
Needless to say, she was a pretty big wolf, the size of a pony at least, on her back, a mere inches from the other person, and staring up at them. That would probably freak out most people, although Rain hadn't quite clued in on that just quite yet. (C) ELLIE @ GANGNAM STYLE

Just as she was about to bite into the bear meat, a giant wolf with red markings suddenly dropped right next to her, actually managing to startle her as she reached for her sword from it's hilt, pointing it at the wolf as her breathing quickened due to panic. Her brows furrowed as she waited for the wolf to bounce at her. Yet that moment never came. It just stared at her, as if trying to say something. She could notice the strange stone around the wolf's neck. This wolf was something special. Now that she remembered, her mother... Oh, how she hated to remember her. Yet she had sung to her when she was a little child about a large wolf. Maybe this was the wolf of the song? Maybe it was something akin to a spirit animal that she should worship and respect. Now, she was not someone who truly believed in myths. Yet this wolves markings, size, and stone... Made her believe. She slooowly reached her hand to try and pat the wolf's snout. Rain

Well luckily for the giant Taguel, the sword toting woman did not dig said blade into nice, soft, furry neck flesh. Good, that was one step forward! But the girl seemed to think, and the wolf head tilted, blinking once or twice. And then gently, a hand on her snout. Uwaa, this human would pet her? With a happy bark, the wolf scrambled onto it's legs and then proceeded to flop itself all over the girl's lap if she was seated on her butt, or near her if she sat on her knees. Whatever she was doing, she suddenly had white fur everywhere, and a wagging tail, thumping loudly on the ground. And a wolf that was trying to shove it's head under her hand for more petting.
What, Rain /loved/ being petted and scratched and spoiled as a wolf. Most people ran screaming sure but the few brave souls that stayed often found out that Rain was just a giant softie. She wasn't even a mean wolf, all she wanted was pets and licks. A kid even brought her home once, and she stayed there for a week... before she was dragged back home. Bah. She didn't want to think about her mission, which is why she was over here, busy trying to lick the poor human girl in the face as a thank you for even being nice. Overtly enthusiastic? Check. Giant wolf? Check. Big softie that just wants to be spoiled? Super red flag for anyone paying attention.
Hopefully this didn't went with the other girl trying to get a wolf pelt. (C) ELLIE @ GANGNAM STYLE

Tsan'lo was sometimes a cold person. But she couldn't really find anything to hurt or insult this wolf with. It wouldn't understand insults, kicking it would not be smart considering it was a WOLF, and most of all... She in a way adored the animal. It was beautiful. The mane, clearly of some magical origin or such, had such intricate markings, and the animal was... Oh, how she disliked to think of it as that... Cute. She recoiled a bit as the wolf licked her, but after a moment she answered with a small smile and a scratch behind the wolf's ear. She then reached for the slap of bear meat she was just about to eat before splitting it into two, handing one to the wolf as she then bit into her own piece. One hand on the slab and one hand behind the wolf's ear. This was... Nice. Rain

Oh yesss, right theeeeere. With a soft... whatever dogs did when they were happy because Rain didn't really know what they did, she settled, less hyper now, but more relaxed. Her tail was thumping really fast though, as she let the girl's fingers run through her fur. Oh that was so nice, it's been a while since she had been scratched and petted. Last time was... two weeks ago? With a bark, the wolf took the half a slab with her mouth, and placing it on her paws, chewed on it whilst being petted. Gosh darn, this felt wonderful, and Rain would probably love to curl up around this figure for the night, letting the girl be warm even as the fire died during the slumber.
Rain loved taking care of people, that's probably why she was so worked up over her lost adoptive sibling. The wolf just felt at peace, but she did wonder why a girl such as her was out here. Well, she would work that out in the morning, sure she was to remain in her wolf form all night. She wouldn't be human just yet, she did have to pay this child back... by hunting for her and traveling with her for a few days. The forest was dangerous, even if she took out a bear, and as a Taguel, Rain had a lot of power stacked behind that wolven structure. Of course, the creature thought that the night would end peacefully, and hopefully that didn't jinx it whatsoever.
Or perhaps fate wanted to laugh. (C) ELLIE @ GANGNAM STYLE

Tsan'lo smiled gently as the dog whimpered in seeming enjoyment, watching it's tail thump against the ground. She bit into her slab as they simply relaxed there. It tasted surprisingly good, although the slab had cooled down a bit. Bear meat had always been something Tsan'lo found enjoyable. Sure, it could be a bit mangy and such but with enough chewing you could get to the real meaty core and then you're just golden for eating some delicious meat. "Good..." She examined the wolf closer. It didn't appear to have the genitalia of a male. "Good girl." With that she gently went onto a lying down position as her head rested on her chest of the wolf. She was putting a lot of trust on this wolf, yet it seemed to be friendly. If it wanted to harm her it would've done so soon enough. She turned so her left cheek and a part of her nose were buried in the white fur, sniffing it gently. "Good girl." With that, she closed her eyes and begun to slowly drift into sleep. Rain

Tsan'loIt wasn't often that Rain got to eat wild meat, but when she did, and particularly cooked, it always made her a bit happier. Surely her tastes were weird as a wolf, but she had eaten at the same pace that the girl did, making sure not to rush or to over eat. Once she was done, she licked her paws clean, and then shifted a bit, as to let the girl lie down and rest her head on her body. But no, the wolf wouldn't have any of that, as she shifted, the girl's head on her paws, and the rest of her body beside the wolf like a big plushie blanket. With a settled movement, she made sure that some of her fur traveled onto the girl like a blanket, and then let out a satisfied growl. Then she laid her head next to the girl's and went to sleep herself, knowing her wolf senses would pick up on anyone that tried to approach the two. And luckily, nobody disturbed them in the night, as the wolf woke up surprisingly first. With a soft yawn and shake of the head, she gently extracted herself from the girl, and nuzzled a pack under her head before the wolf shook her first. First, hunting, and then a bath. Pawing the ground, the wolf trotted off, hoping that the girl wouldn't move on or think the wolf left her. She just wanted to get them breakfast first, something other then meat... since that was usually heavy in the mornings. Fruits and eggs were on the list of course, as the wolf would manage. At worst, she could turn into human and do it that way, but that wasn't suggested right now. She would also need to learn the girl's name at some point, but hopefully the girl would tell her sometime soon, even if she thought the wolf wouldn't understand it. (C) ELLIE @ GANGNAM STYLE

Tsan'lo turned her head slightly as she dreamed, gently murmuring something as she twisted to the side. In the dream there was a mountain. She scaled it surprisingly easily, but it was a dream after all. Along the way she saw the greatest of sights, countless rivers, many little villages and a thousand battles. All the way she climbed there was a lone wolf walking next to her with beautiful markings. Together they climbed and climbed before finally reaching the top of the mountain. At the top there was a simple shrine, seemingly dedicated to Naga or such. As she entered it, she could hear a strange sound behind her. As she tilted her head over her shoulder, the beautiful wolf was replaced by... And then the dream was over, snapping like it was a twig as she simply turned again, still completely asleep. She probably wouldn't remember this at all, yet the dream seemed prophetic in a way. Rain

Tsan'loLuckily, by the time the human girl had awakened, Rain was already there. She had brought a basket of fruits and a few eggs too, as the wolf was leaning on her paws, staring at the girl. She remembered how the other had looked at her below to determine her gender, and well if wolves could blush, Rain would have. It was embarassing, but she didn't blame the other, it was hard to tell on first look sometimes. But she felt glad that she had hunted the foods for the girl, maybe she wouldn't be so hungry anymore? And maybe she'd bring Rain around, and give her an excuse to be in town as a wolf! And maybe Rain could help her more, like sniff out work? Bah, the wolf didn't know honestly. Luckily they were in a thick forest, and the Taguel knew how to hunt so that would cover her food. And well, most of the more aggressive animals would not attack a wolf, much less one her size, so they had less to be scared of. Which all worked as the wolf seemed eager for Tsan'lo to wake up, nudging the basket towards her. Hopefully, the girl knew how to cook eggs on a open fire, because Rain herself had no idea. She often turned back into human and drank them raw. It was way of life for the Taguel, one she wasn't sure she wanted to be used to. Considering their family lived in a little house in the middle of nowhere, they had to be self-sustataining... well okay, they were a lord's family, but they often lived there to stay away from the politics. Or something. Rain wasn't even sure, she just liked being a wolf. And she already had experience, after all she took care of her sibling by herself! The wolf remembered her bath this morning, and would make sure to show Tsan'lo the place should the girl wake, eat and then wonder where to bathe. She was a pretty efficient companion to have right!? Rain just wanted to be useful, to thank the girl for petting her and scratching her and even feeding her good bear meat too. Maybe this just eased Rain's loneliness really, and the taguel felt she had to thank the other for that. (C) ELLIE @ GANGNAM STYLE

She opened her eyes, staring at the wolf for a moment before her brain registered that the wolf was the same as the one before and that it was friendly. She smiled weakly, rubbing her hand against the wolf's snout before then looking at what the wolf had brought and was nudging at her. A basket. Where did a wolf get this basket. She raised her eyebrow, looking from the wolf to the basket for a long while. "Girl, where'd you..." It didn't matter in the end. Girl (she decided from this point on to call the wolf Girl) had brought her food somehow, be it killing someone who had the basket or... Some other means. The wolf was definitely intelligent. She then rose up, stretching herself for a while. "Hmm..." She didn't know how to really cook expect for roasting things over the campfire. She did know how to make alcohol, and she had some supplies. Maybe she could... With that, she reached for her bag as she rummaged trough it, taking out some barley, herbs, some water and the eggs as she then got to work. First she placed the water onto two cups, one larger and more like a bowl for Girl as she then distributed the barley amongst the two, letting them mush as she then dropped some of the herbs in the ale. She begun to stir both for a while as it then begun to smell rather sweet, finishing it off by breaking the eggs and distributing them evenly across the two drinks, turning it rather white with a yellow centre. It did still smell sweet. She smiled at Girl once more, motioning for the larger bowl like cup as she then begun to drink from her own cup. It didn't taste half bad for her. Rain

Tsan'loTail wagging, Rain felt like she did good, letting out a soft, happy noise at the hand rubbing her snout, nuzzling into it. Uwaa this girl was so affectionate it made her happy! She wanted to keep this one, forever and ever! It seemed like the poor girl was confused, but the wolf didn't give up on nudging the basket. To be fair, the wolf had forgotten about her own supplies, but had picked up the basket from them this morning, and even brought the rest amongst Tsan'lo's own supplies. But tail wagging proudly, she watched the human girl set up the food... but it seemed like she didn't cook it. Whelp, this was a problem, but the sweet smell enticed the wolf, tail wagging more furiously. But she was a bit cautious, it smelled stranger then normal. But with a look back at the girl, that was drinking it, the wolf just let out a small noise and stuffed her muzzle into the bowl. With licks and sucks, the level was brought down a big, and then the wolf did something she had always been careful with. Wrapping her paws around the bowl, she tilted it so that the mixture could go down her mouth easier. For a singular moment, it made her seem quite human, and then she put it down, flopping beside it with a startled yelp. Woah, what was in that stuff? The wolf's world was spinning, and she felt so... tingly and warm! The taguel wiggled a few moments, and then stood up. Needless to say, this was the first time Rain had consumed anything remotely like alcohol, human or not, and then she tumbled over as she tried to bounce at a butterfly. Squirming in place, the wolf seemed to be almost delirious as she just kept getting up and falling down and doing weird things with small yelps and wolf snickers. The wolf was just pretty much a giant bag of clumsy cute, as she finally found her way to beside Tsan'lo and then made a whining noise, as if demanding pets and affection. In fact, the wolf was on her back, squirming her belly at the girl. It was a very simple way to ask for a belly rub, as her tail was thumping pretty hard now, the slight sway of the drunk still present. Well it should be gone by the next moment anyways, her wolf system easily digesting such things much easier then the humans. (C) ELLIE @ GANGNAM STYLE

Her eyebrows raised once more as Girl used her paws to take hold of the bowl she had set up, carefully tilting it. What WAS Girl anyways. She was clearly a wolf, yes, but a wolf with those seemingly natural markings and skill like that... Maybe she was some sort of a special breed enchanted by magic while still being only pubs inside their mother's stommach? Or perhaps she was some sort of a escaped circus animal. She had heard about circuses once, yet they were seemingly rather rare. Oh, what did it matter. Girl was here now with her, and her companionship was the only thing she cared for at the moment. She laughed silently in amusement as Girl stumbled around a bit drunkenly. It was both cute and funny at the same time. She had not felt this... Content and happy in a long, long while. Girl was clearly something of a good influence to her. Maybe she should try and keep Girl around. She noticed Girl falling onto her back and whining, clearly asking for a chest rub as she laughed a bit louder this time, wrapping her hands around Girl's chest as she then begun to scratch her. "Hm, who's a good Girl? Who is? You are. Yes you!" Tsan'lo just kept giggling, something that had not happened for a long while. It was a very nice feeling, really. After a while of scratching she finally stopped, stroking the chin of Girl as she looked down at her, smiling. "Good Girl... Would you like to stay with me for a while? Just us?" She scratched the back of Girl's right ear as she spoke. Rain

Tsan'loOf course, the girl seemed to give into her demands and just assaulted rain with tummy rubs, as the wolf let out a happy growl whine mix, squirming happily at the rubs. Yesss that felt good like very very good. And she didn't stop after a few minutes either! Rain was just happily enjoying the tummy rub when it stopped, and she felt the girl stroke her jaw. A soft gentle lick came out of the wolf's muzzle, and then nuzzled into the girl's hand, tail thumping still. Although, the taguel wondered who the heck was Girl. Like who was that? The taguel nuzzled the hand more, and then the rest of the words sunk in. She had gotten distracted because her right ear was being scratched, and it had been itchy and oh dear it felt soooo nice. And then the wolf realized the second half of what the girl wanted, and with a yelp, scrambled to her feet. Tail wagging, she looked, and finding a decent sized stick, she grabbed it with her mouth, and then dragged it in the dirt several times. Eventually, the wolf managed it, and putting the stick down, seemed to pant and tail wag for the girl to look at what the white wolf had done. Needless to say, if and when she would look, the human girl would notice a single word scratched out. Rain. Whapping her paw under the name, the wolf then poked herself with her paw. That was her name. Of course, Rain knew that perhaps, the girl would be off put by that, but she assumed this was a good time as any to see if the girl would give her name to the wolf. She would like to know the name of the girl that she was... well all over on honestly. Rain liked knowing the names of the people she just plopped and licked and got scratches from. That way she could remember them, and check in on them from time to time, as the dog's tail started wagging and thumping again. Gah, she was entirely too excited, but it didn't seem like the girl before her minded that very much, in fact, it was like all of this energy made her happier, brighter. And Rain liked it very much when she helped people and made them bright and happy. So she would definitely keep doing it! (C) ELLIE @ GANGNAM STYLE

Okay. Okay, Gir-- Or well. Rain, yes. Rain was clearly something other than an ordinary wolf or even a circus wolf. It was clear by now, thanks to her writing her own name down to the dirt. She smiled silently as she read it over and over for a long while. "Rain... Rain. Such a nice name. I wonder what named you... Or if you named yourself, considering all this intelligence you're showing me. Maybe someday you'll somehow tell me how you are so intelligent and smart." She then took the stick carefully from Rain, patting her head once as she then got to work. She had never learned how to write, but she knew what her name looked like from the few times she had seen it written on some contracts she had eventually broken or finished. So she took a while as she wrote it down, doing a few twirls as if she was dancing around the name before pulling back and pointing onto the very crudely made and drawn "Tsan'lo" on the ground before then pointing the stick at herself. "Tsan'lo. Tsan'lo is my name, Rain." She nodded before placing the stick down onto the ground with a little smile. "I take you writing your name and being generally happy as accepting my offer?" She laughed a bit more loudly than before as she scratched the back of Rain's head, and in just a moment she was already moving onto her lower chest with one hand still behind her ear. Rain was just so wobbly and cute and all around scratchable that after a while she found it hard to separate from her. But in the end she had to, and as she did she giggled for a short moment. "I'm happy I met you. But... Shall we hit the road, eh?" Rain
