Ender noticed Shen'lon. He wasn't sure how long the man had been there before he'd noticed him, but he didn't much mind. It was still early in the morning, and even if he dilly dallied, it wasn't like they weren't making significantly faster progress than they would on foot. Eventually, bored, Ender pounced, no longer playing a game. With a content chomp, he ate the butterfly. He bounded over to Shen'lon and waited for the man to mount up. "I hope you didn't gain weight from all that eating you do." Their course was straight west, until the end of the desert, and then they should probably go further beyond. One of the port cities--not that there was much use for the ports without ships--would be the most ideal place to find work. Shen'lon

Ender ate a butterfly, and Shen'lon couldn't help but wonder if the dragon was all right in the head. What possible benefit was there to eating a butterfly? (Half a strip of bacon was superior in virtually every way.) The man only grunted in response to the remark on his appetite. Gaining weight wasn't a huge concern. It wasn't like he was lacking in exercise. He climbed up Ender's leg without further ado, securing his belongings as he sat on the dragon's neck. "Where to?" ender

"Capital--or the first city along the way." This seemed like a good time to mention that the last map he'd seen was from a few decades ago, at least an Exalt or two past (wait, they didn't have Exalts anymore either). "Villages might've grown bigger since the last time I was here." He took the air, but he didn't start flying off in any direction just yet. "Is there anywhere closer we should go? It's all the same to me, as long as I can find work." He sighed, the sound echoing strangely from a dragon's throat. "Or any direction where there'll be towns to stop at for lunch.
