• Born as the third child to a family of seven. (Farmers, the lot of them.)
• Not actually a born warrior, and without 'formal' training, he's only as strong as he is because of the long days spent in the fields.
• The scars are a long story, but in a nutshell: wyverns, stray livestock, and a very loud rooster.
• His family lost their lands (and their lives) in the Chon'sin revolution, and he picked up the axe as a lifestyle more out of self-defense than anything.
• Now, he fights for whoever pays and feeds him. He has no particular goals other than to get his family's land back and go back to farming. He ain't exactly ambitious.
OTHER
Despite his looks, he's not as vicious as would seem. He's honest, perhaps to a fault, and doesn't have any particular wishes for glory -- just peace. It does not, however, stop him from smashing his axe into whomever his employers pay him to smash his axe into.
