Both Ylisse and Plegia lay claim to the village and this has come to a head in recent days when armed Ylissean militia took the town and hoisted the Ylissean flag above the town, prompting armed response from the Plegian Royal Family, things are soon to come to a head between the Theocracy and Halidome as Steward Matthias sends his own soldiers to secure the town following this 'militia'. Hmmm can we talk about this over skype? Kieran might have a vested interest since I've made several mentions in his background to him growing up in a town on the border. This might be that town so it might be cool to get him involved in it.

Signing up Xin'chi as part of the Ylisseans. Might even be the leader of the 'militia' by Matthias' orders since she's one of his hired killers.

Maeve enjoys sending Kamille to do the tough job.
Thankfully, he's more than happy to take them.
Admiral Kamille for Plegia.

Seriously, if no one else is gonna fight for Plegia, Ender will. He's a mercenary, and he's prickly, but he'll probably follow Kamille's orders.

Alright! So, this came up in separate chats so lets get down to business (To defeat the Huns!) and figure out what we're looking at when it comes to the numbers that are involved in the battle on the town. SO, at the moment we're looking at either a small-medium force (10-25) that's comprised of NPCs, mooks and fodder and rounded out by our characters or it's just five, total. Now, the first one is more realistic, but would you all be alright playing that? I'm fine using it as a tide of battle kinda signifier as the combat is still focused on our five. Just wanted to make sure it was all gucci with everyone. Xin'chikamilleKieranender

20-30 for Plegia. Nothing less than 20 is all I ask, because less than that is unlikely of Kamille's rank. More than that is too much for a small battle.
I didn't think such a minor detail would be a nitpicking issue >_>

I would say that it starts with a small group on Plegia's side then reinforcements show up sometime during the battle that brings them up to 20ish.
For Ylisse I would say that there's less of them because they have homefield advantage atm so it would be unresonable for their numbers to be equal or greater than Plegai's.

I think the only way we can justify Plegia's initial forces being smaller is if Kamille purposefully split his forces to have a second wave arrive later. Otherwise, I know he's a laughing stock, but he's still the admiral. Even as Captain or Commander, he'd be used to leading forces of at least 100. Dropping him down to something like 10 men would've probably been an insult on Maeve's part. An alternative is that there's a LOT of contested villages under attack, and they've split themselves into many smaller units to try to save all the villages at once, and Kamille just happens to be accompanying this one. That'd be a pretty dumb strategy though. I think any seasoned officer would prefer to have a larger force with a guaranteed victory than gambling on a lot of smaller strikes. Maybe that's a risky move that kamille might try though? For Ylisse, how big of a village are we talking here? I'd assume Matthias sent at least 10 real soldiers, and then there's also every able-bodied villager. I think whatever Plegia's numbers, Ylisse should have x1.5 as much, but they'd probably be at a 1:2 or 1:3 soldier-to-villager ratio. And after typing all those words, I say we just wing it. /shrug

enderXin'chiKieranWell! Alright, first thing's first, Kamille has dropped the paralgoue so I'll be dropping an NPC into his spot, to make it easier since we've already got things kinda shaky as is we'll be keeping the numbers of those interacting the same while saying there's a much more sizable force in the background behind them. 20-30 Plegian Soldiers 15 Ylissean Soliders 10-15 Militia Just wanted to make sure you're all cool with that and since kmaille has dropped, that you were all abreast.

I'm alright with the numbers and if Kamille really does wanna drop, the NPC insertion is fine too unless Katya wants to find someone else for the Plegian group. In which case I don't mind waiting a bit.
