Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Freja remained quiet as Eirlys responded, though the way she seemed to interpret the Feroxi way seemed to get on Freja's nerves a little bit. "I'm more inclined to believe you are just quick to judge," Freja sighed. "Not all of us get off of killing. Sure, perhaps some of us might, but there's nary an enforced culture of wanton slaughter. Battles to show one's strength do not always need to involve bloodshed. Regna Ferox is a militant nation. Nothing short of a radical uprising or revolution will change that. Physical prowess is the only thing that matters. We're ready to defend ourselves if we need to. But I speak for most of us when I say that we would not encourage the slaying of innocents and children and women just because it would make some bigwigs happy." Freja simply said.
"Of course, I can't help but feel stung, because I've spent most of my adult years wandering this forsaken land aimlessly defending the weak from bandits who would randomly wish death upon the defenseless. But alas, I cannot blame you, for you have been away from humanity for so long." Freja sighed as eventually the great ivory Dragon stopped, lowering her altitude and finally allowing Freja to dismount a reasonable distance away from the village, on the outskirts.
When Eirlys said she hoped to see Freja again, the Feroxi woman just nodded solemnly. "Well, who knows? Maybe we'll meet again. Maybe we won't. That's just how life is." Eirlys soon began to glow and soon enough she was back to her humanoid form. After this, Freja had slowly extended Eirlys' staff back to her to return it to her. Once the manakete would take her staff back, Freja turned her back to Eirlys and began to walk away, but not without leaving one last parting message.
"Well, good luck and fortune in whatever it is you need to do."
