Ceres grins all the wider, putting her hands into the air so her palms are facing upwards as she gives Viscera a shrug. "Naga willing you will see it some day soon." She chimes, even adding a soft whistle to herself. "My father's demesne is quite expansive to be honest, you would probably be most interested in the keep, it's a rather decadent thing, placed high upon a cliff in a forest to our south, built to withstand a siege of course, but from who? I could not tell you." She remarks, closing her eyes and letting her hands rest down on her knees once more. "Father seems intent that forces are gathering to destroy him and his lovely daughters, but what is stone and mortar and the strategies of men compared to a god?" She'll ask, the phrase daughters sounding odd in her speech, as if she's excluding herself from that title. "Oh but of course, but those in power would be loath to give up their worldly thrones, no matter the consequence to all of man." She starts, clicking her tongue. "And that is the danger of Grima's influence, that it drives men into fits of greed, avarice, lust, paranoia all in the pursuit of... What exactly?" She may well be the embodiment of wrath guided by the hand of religious zealotry, but then one would have to fear how that charge would be met. "That was a question my dear."Viscera

"That was a question my dear."
Viscera looked thoughtful for a moment. It was something she often had considered in due time, though how to put it?
"Purpose."
She spoke up once more at last, her face shifting into a look that seemed both distant and focused. Her crimson eyes looked completely set and invulnerable even for Ceres.
"It is purpose that every man and every woman desires more than anything. And the people of Plegia have long been ravished by many a war. In their despair, the unfortunates that have had to suffer from the flames of those wars cling to any purpose they can find, even the Fell Dragon. The unenlightened masses need a purpose, a drive, something they can believe in with all their heart."
She paused a moment, briefly humming.
"You could say that some people simply look for something to believe in as well. Something that will distract them from their ills. It is hard to truly comprehend some people though. Those that seek baseless harm and malevolence for instance. Though wrath is due in various circumstances, it is oft considered better by people to show mercy and benevolence. It is considered the mark of a good leader that people favor. Anger will only get so far. Naga holds kindness as well as wrath and it is what separates her from Grima."
Viscera began to frown slightly. "I apologize, I kind of began to rant towards the end." She was also kind of disgusted how she did start to sound like an actual Cleric of Naga towards the end as well. The things one had to do for cover.

Ceres would nod along during Viscera's comments, her eyes locked with the other woman as she clasps her hands together before her and smiles encouragingly. She'll let Viscera say everything that she could ever possibly want as she hangs off of every word, her deep blue eyes pools of understanding as the cleric finally lets out a soft sigh as Viscera apologizes. "You will have to promise to never apologize again." She will remark finally, tilting her head a small bit to the right. "When the heart commands you to speak, you will speak and not dismiss it as some kind of rant." She will hum, putting her hands out on to the table between the two. "Embracing the word of Naga does not mean to mindlessly read off scripture or rattle off the sermons of clerics and priests, but it is to think and speak and to become a better person for all of your fellow people." She remarks smoothly with a nod. "Faith is more than belief, faith is more than action, it is an all encompassing matter of the soul, it is a learning experience and it is evolving." She continues, putting her hand on to Viscera's side of the table now, as if asking to have the other cleric's own. "You will speak your mind and encourage our followers to do the same, so that we might become a better people all together." She'll add before nodding towards the groups of people seated about the two, all the same matter and kind of men and women that had been gathered about Ceres before. "Look at them, all followers the same as you and I who have lived their entire lives bent and bowed before kings and dukes and duchesses, some have seen Grima rise twice, the passing of of four exalts, and through it all they have been forever told that there is no place for their voice." She'll hum in that soft, extravagant voice of her's. "Think of the world we might build when everyone matters, from the lowliest peasant to the greatest knight." She'll add, her hand still offered to Viscera. "The day grows darker by the hour, and it stands to us to ignite the flame that will lead Ylisse through the night."Viscera

"You will have to promise to never apologize again."
Viscera blinked in a bit of surprise at that remark. The silver haired cult leader began to explain just why the white haired Cleric shouldn't, her words befitting the humble sort of attitude, or act, that Ceres held. She explained that none need apologize for simply speaking and that it was enough of people being downtrodden upon, a sentiment that Viscera could share given the Plegian Royals' attitude towards the Grimleal.
She noticed Ceres' hand outstretched and the hand on her lip that had so tightly gripped her silken robes began to release it's grip. She hadn't even noticed herself that she was still gripping onto the skirt after the comment earlier, but now that same dainty hand rose and placed itself in Ceres' grasp, her other hand resting on the table as well. The soft pale color of her skin was common for nobility, much as she'd mentioned before and it spoke of not getting out in the sun very often.
Her cheeks began to color slightly again, Ceres' hand was warm like the fire she preached of and surprisingly soft given the silver beauty's hard words. "Yes... I understand what you mean. We must be the fire to light the way for everyone, not just for ourselves. It is a heavy burden, but one we must and can endure together."

That blush in Viscera's cheeks was far from beyond notice to Ceres, but she seems to do very little with the high ground she's gained, the woman quite suddenly brightening up and grasping Viscera's hand tightly as she lets out a trilling giggle which would put the sweetest of songbirds to shame. "Goodness, that was quite something was it not?" She'll hum, letting her other hand fall upon the top of Viscera's so she has the cleric trapped as it were. "I apologize, I try to not go on such long tirades like that, it must have been an awful bore." She'll remark, her eyes rolling upwards as she takes on the air of something far more fitting her age and appearance. A very easy smile, a warm touch and eyes alight with something as she tries to pull Viscera's hand a little closer to herself. "But, lets forget that for now, I would really enjoy to hear more about yourself." She remarks, just ya' know, craddling this hand and staring Viscera down. Either she's some kind of manipulative monster, or she's just so very exuberant that she cannot help but let it leak into her sermons now and then. Either way, it's a dangerous sign, being able to so quickly shift mood. "What brought you to Talys? I appologize so very deeply, but I can hardly remember the day we met. I do remember something with a pony and a muddy road out in the rain." She remarks, pursing her lips a small bit as she conjures a thoughtful look. "Call it sentimental, but I would like to belive you were drawn by Naga's light as well as my physical one." She remarks before grinning sheepishly. "By which I mean my torch."Viscera

"I apologize, I try to not go on such long tirades like that, it must have been an awful bore.""Ah n-no, it's fine. Really."The cult mistress punctuated her words with a warm smile and a warmer gaze. Though this glance seemed to contain even more than her usual piercing looks. A smoldering spark of something that Viscera couldn't place was in her eyes, like a bonfire ready to be lit. "But, lets forget that for now, I would really enjoy to hear more about yourself."Ceres drew her hand closer in, placing her free hand on top of Viscera's outstretched one. She tensed slightly, her dainty fingers lightly dancing upon Ceres' palm as the other Cleric's warm hands encased her's. The slight coloration of her cheeks began to grow stronger once more. "What brought you to Talys? I apologize so very deeply, but I can hardly remember the day we met. I do remember something with a pony and a muddy road out in the rain."Ah! Right! Still a conversation going on here. "Call it sentimental, but I would like to believe you were drawn by Naga's light as well as my physical one."Wha... What? "By which I mean my torch."Oh! Okay. That was what she meant. Of course it was what Ceres had meant and not something else. Ahahaha... Focus, Viscera. "Ah, yes. With all the combat going on in Plegia of late I figured it better to find a new path for myself. I passed through the border, though I've heard alot of tales of bandits in the area after I did. I decided to try and get a bit away from the fighting though and I've heard tales of Talys' beauty. It was those stories that brought me to the northern part of Ylisse and ultimately, to you. Though I wish I'd bought a better horse..." Viscera sighed, she needed to leave most of what money she did have behind to keep up the farce of a traveling Cleric, no matter the original station. "I'm thankful that you had found me then. I dread that I might have run into bandits otherwise. And now I'm happy to contribute to your movement." The white haired maiden smiled brightly in return to Ceres' continued grins. "And as you know now, I would like to do whatever I can to be of aid to you."--- Tags: ceres

"You need not dread, for Naga guides us all to where we are truly meant to be." She remarks smoothly, not yet releasing that hand as she looks about at the different groups of men that share the tavern with them. "Come, let us adore the grace of Naga's sun one last moment before the night has fallen and we move on." She remarks, pushing herself up with her free hand and attempting to drag poor Viscera along with her as the crimson robbed woman makes her way towards the door with an elegant gait as she giggles sweetly and shakes her hips a bit out of excitement. "It is wonderful to hear that you were drawn by the stories of Talys' beauty." She adds, now trying to lead the woman out through the front door, the two being graced by the orange light of the dying day.
"Imagine this country free from the yoke of the false steward, returned to it's true splendor once more." She hums, finally releasing Viscera's hand as she makes her way through the streets of the small town, giving people bright smiles as she passes, even tusseling the hair of a passing child as she mounts a hill. "Imagine all the people of our continent free from the grip of the fell dragon's influence." She adds, now cresting the peak and letting ehr hands fall to her side as she peers out over the countryside.
It's a beautiful place to say the least, orange and pink light dancing along the canopy of the forest which stretches out as far as the eye can see before them, the cut of the road running south and north and barely visible off to their right as the fire and brimstone cultist stares out towards the setting sun.
"One day this will be her's once more."
And her own.

| TAGGED ceresNOTES Beautiful nature~ |
As if Viscera wasn't already metaphorically letting herself get dragged around, now it was starting to turn literal as Ceres guided her up and away from the table. The lovely cult mistress walked with joy in her step and a sway of her hips that briefly caught Viscera's eye before she started to focus more on what was in front of her. Finally, the warm grasp of Ceres' hand faded as she let Viscera's go. Like Ceres she began to grin and wave to the people of the town, taking in the words of her silver haired companion.
They came upon the top of a hill, the fading light of day truly bringing out the beauty of Talys. That much was true, Viscera felt. She did wish to see the beauty of this region and in truth, she was far from disappointed. There was a natural beauty that the sandy deserts of Plegia lacked. The beauty of nature was a thing that few seemed to really relish for what it was worth.
"One day this will be her's once more."
"It will do my heart good to see. The land will belong to Naga once more and ours to guide on the righteous path. The beauty of the land will be even greater after we succeed. I truly look forward to seeing your vision and the beauty of Naga unfold." Viscera spoke with true reverence as she gazed out upon the wonder of nature. There were few grand respites like this.

Ceres, for her part, was actually quite impressed with the natural beauty as well! Which, is quite an accomplishment for the woman as she is usually quite caught up in the matters of gods and men before those of the world around her. It made her feel small, the outstretched expanse but a small part of the Ylissean domain, yet it gave her a small sense of satisfaction. This was her domain now, leagues upon leagues of impenetrable forests that have so very long been overlooked by the lords and ladies of Ylisstol. And it was here that the flames of change would be kindled, and to say such a tract of land would be under her sway? Why, she would not find fault in that. To say nothing of the fact that the bosom of the earth would nurture the rebirth of the true followers of Naga, it was simply prophetic wasn't it? "We can only hope the pretender will abdicate the throne of the Exalt, so that this land of our's will be free from the scars of war." She'll hum, her eyes half closed as she once more takes Viscera's hand. "But we must be ready to do what is necessary, and some sicknesses can only be burned out."Viscera

Viscera's hand accepted Ceres' without a second thought from the snow haired Plegian. Her soft fingers began to lace themselves with Ceres' own, an unconsciously romantic act as they observed the horizon together. This woman was just so very dangerous, even when the false acolyte of Naga wasn't thinking about it.
"But we must be ready to do what is necessary, and some sicknesses can only be burned out."
"Yes... We must light the flames of a new dawn together."
