She had of course asked for the merchant to drop her off at the nearest town, and of course the redhead had approved. She WAS of course an overly nice person, most redheads were. So she had decided to... Well, it's not stealing when she deserved the reward anyways, was it? Anyways, she had taken one iron sword from the cart before hopping off. She wouldn't miss one dinky sword, would she? The little town... Ah, who was she kidding, it was no town. It was just a tavern surrounded by a few houses and one small pig farm. Anyways. She made her way inside the tavern that was mostly empty aside from the bartender, the barmaid and a few locals drinking in a corner. She had no money with her so she just decided to sit down on a larger table, pulling out her own little set of ale making items and got to work. After a while she had her ale done, beginning to chug from the mug she had provided herself with. It tastes as good as always, earning even a little smile from her lips. cassius

“ GIMMIE THE BOOTY I WANT THE BOOTY ” "She wouldn't miss one dinky sword, would she?"First mistake. The merchant missed it very much. "Ah, who was she kidding, it was no town."Second mistake. As there was only one tavern making up most of the "town's" architecture, Cassius had guessed correctly that Tsan'lo was probably there; after all, who wouldn't want a nice drink and meal after the struggle they had just been through. Cassius sure wanted one. However, he was still technically on business. The merchant had asked him to confirm that the myrmidon had taken her sword. He had entrusted the safety of the convoy to the Manakete, but he was sure they would be fine: the road ahead wasn't known to have bandits. Cassius slammed the door open to the tavern. His forearm leaned against the door's frame as his chest heaved. Panting and a little sweaty, he scanned the area before finding his target. The man's gait was almost haggard and as he gripped the free chair at table, kept his eyes narrowed down onto hers. A loud groan trembled from the chair's legs as he dragged his seat out before plopping on top of it, legs spread, leaned forward, arms on the table. "Mind sparing me a drink?" Cassius said, "We have a little talking to do and I'm thirsty." TAGGED Tsan'loNOTES FRIENDS FOREVER MADE BY ★MEULK FOR SHIV <3

She stared up to the man as he arrived, clearly tired. Good, it should provide her a slight advantage if they fought even if she too was rather beaten and bruised. He was here either on the same purpose as she was, resting up and then leaving... Or the merchant did miss the sword she had taken as payment. She eyed him up and down for a while before taking another sip from her mug. Glug glug glug glug. She then placed it down, wiping some of the ale from her mouth. "You want something to drink, you either buy it from that overpricing bartender or you buy it from me for a slightly smaller price." She poured some more for herself from the contained she had, drinking it down once more. She took a good eyefull of the man in front of her to finally completely analyze him. He clearly WAS a soldier of sorts, considering the seemingly well built chest. Face was something that could be classified as handsome and attracting if it wasn't attached to such a mongrel. Hair color was something she had not seen that much, really. Orange? Or maybe light brown. Either way it looked stupid. Like his face. He just looked stupid is the point she was getting at inside her mind. cassius

“ GIMMIE THE BOOTY I WANT THE BOOTY ” "Wait, are you actually going to make me pay?" Cassius was shocked, but he quickly corrected his disposition when he realized that it was Tsan'lo he was dealing with and not an ordinary human-being. She did have a point however because the bartender's drinks were ghastly expensive and he wondered for a moment that if the tavern's prices were even a tad bit lower that more traffic would come here to make this "town" a more populated place. Or perhaps, because it was the only tavern around that the prices were inflated. But he digressed and although he wanted to guide his thoughts some place else other than the inevitable regret and defeat he would experience at the hands of Tsan'lo's business savvy, he couldn't. With a grumpy grumble, he pulled out several coins and threw them towards her side of the table. "This enough?" He said, spitting poison. During this time, he made sure to examine her appearance. Seemingly she was a mercenary of sorts but she held a certain beauty, especially in her wide doe-like eyes. He wouldn't have minded perhaps, bringing her out on a date of some sorts but it was simply too bad that someone as infuriating as her possessed such a charming figure. The more he thought on it, the more he wanted to punch her in the throat, perhaps even more than Matthias, but he kept his hands to himself like an elementary schooler during class-time. "So, you know that merchant we helped out earlier? Yeah, the only merchant we helped out today?" Cassius kept his voice steady, but Tsan'lo would be able to detect an irritation already rising from the depths of his throat, "She's missing a sword. Iron sword to be exact. Have any idea about its whereabouts? Hm?"Subtlety was not needed today. TAGGED Tsan'loNOTES FFFFFFFFFRIENDS MADE BY ★MEULK FOR SHIV <3

She took the coins into her hand as she then bit one of them, thinking for a moment before grudgingly passing him a half full mug of the ale she had made. "That's what you get for this much." She should be able to use this money to afford buying her a new headband, surely. The old one was already so dirty and just not that usable anymore. And she could... No, she wouldn't buy herself a night at this tavern. She could easily sleep at the woods like she always did when she didn't have any money. Her attention then returned to the mongrel in front of her as he rather unsubtly asked what had happened to the iron sword she had taken from the merchant's caravan. He was irritated as he explained that the merchant WAS actually missing out on the sword she had taken. She shrugged a bit as she reached for the steath at her back, pulling out the iron sword. "I've got it right here." She examined the edge carefully as she held it out. A masterpiece, truly. Something that should not be sold to just some mongrel on the streets so he could stab someone while trying to rob them. A mongrel like the one in front of her, really. "I took it as payment for the job. Simple as that. She promised me a ride to Ferox, I didn't take that offer. So instead I took one sword." She stroked her chin. "You got anything else or will you be heading back to try and get into the pants of the other two?" cassius

“ GIMMIE THE BOOTY I WANT THE BOOTY ” "Really?"He glanced down at the pitiful glass. Half a mug. If she thought the bartender was steep, she should recheck her own prices. The suds were already popping, oozing off the inner sides of the glass until they were nothing at all. Flashing her an unimpressed glower, he grabbed his drink and lifted it up to her in a show of unwilling courtesy. Cassius took a swig, his adam's apple bobbing as the musty flavor slid down his throat. He set the mug down. It was already empty. God damn it.Maintaining his disgruntled air, he threw another few coins. Despite the unorthodox method of its creation, he had to begrudgingly admit that the thick, yet effervescent taste was quite good. "More." He took a moment to think about it, "Please."The sword was finally produced. Of course, it had to be her. Of course, she would have done something like this. Her track-record wasn't clean like a cloudy mug used several times over. Cassius rubbed his face, "Why didn't you just ask her? She was a nice lady; I'm sure she would have just given it to you regardless of whether you were going to Ferox or not because of what happened earlier." A long breath drew from his lips. Those were starting to become a little more common now. "I still have to return the sword."The accusation that followed tasted more bitter than the beer before causing the small crease between his lips fidgeted. "I'm not that kind of person." He said. She grabbed the coins once more, bit them, and then placed them into her pouch as she poured another half a mug for the man. She then pushed it to him, something akin to a small smirk could be seen on her lips. She then thought about his question for a while before shrugging, leaning back in her chair. "Just showed her that being kind and trusting might not be the best option. She's the one who let me near the weapons wagon and she was the one who just let me waltz off without examining me thoroughly before I did so." "And if she was so nice to even probably give it to me if I asked, what is the sense in taking it from me anyways. She doesn't seem to miss it that much if she was willing to indeed give it away for simple asking." She shrugged once more as she took a long swig from her mug, holding the sword tightly in her hand as the man then proceeded to for a moment seem even more annoyed than before. She was hitting a bad spot then? Hopefully she was. Getting this man out of her hair will be much more pleasant if she managed to beat him with words. "Oh, you just seem so. Sweetened words back then when we were protecting the caravan and before it got flipped over like some toy, your general posture. You just seem like the kind of mongrel who would easily slip into some woman's pants without her even noticing. Mayhaps you're doing this all to just get the favor of this merchant, hm? You like redheaded women I presume? Or maybe you're aftar that manakete, maybe showing that you are so just and kind to help a merchant could get her to swoon over you." She smirked more wide now. Some of her points might have been blatant lies or simple insults, but they were still something she could easily use. cassius

“ GIMMIE THE BOOTY I WANT THE BOOTY ” Cassius eyed her curiously as she bit the coins. A lifted eyebrow, a slanted smile, a wrinkled nose. Then glaring arches, straightened lips and a flaring nose as she handed him half a mug- again. He was sure he had given more than before, but the little smirk that had returned to her face was enough for his body to yearn for another swig. "You're no better than the bandits who tried to steal from her cart." He scowled, "If you had been switched out with one of them I wouldn't be able to tell the difference." The Captain's gaze descended softly to the corners of his eyes, his lashes straying low as he noticed the tightened grip of Tsan'lo's hand. She didn't seem to be letting up. Weren't the swords in her possession good enough, anyway? Then again he was a military man with access to an armory. She was a mercenary with access to... what? It was a dog eat dog world out there, he understood. He had experienced the harsh struggle to survive, as well and while he had a miniscule piece of sympathy for the lady before him, the rules were the rules. Thievery was not to be tolerated. "I'll have you know that I have no interest in getting into some other's pants." Cassius replied, "The ones I have on now are adequate enough. If you think that I'm projecting an image like that, you might wanna check your eyes. Could be an early onset of cataracts!" He shrugged, pouting and closing his eyes as he shook his head side to side, "Too bad." Cassius took a swig. Empty. Again. He tossed some more coins at her. This would be the last, he swore. "But I'm going to have to take that sword back. If you really want a new sword, how about I give you one from the Ylissean armory? For your service back there, instead?" He had no intention of doing so. TAGGED Tsan'loNOTES PLS TSANLO HE AINT A WOMANIZER BELIEB HIM MADE BY ★MEULK FOR SHIV <3

"And you're no better than the mud under that tavern keepers boots." She took the coins routinely by now, not even bothering to bite them now as she poured one fourth of the space of the mug into it, pushing it to him. "Got no more." She swigged her ale once more. She wiped her nose once, her eyes quickly glancing him over as if searching for something before she spoke once more. "That's what they all say, really. "Oh, you must be seeing me in a wrong light, now let me divert the attention to some other topic!". Bhah, if you're not a womanizer I'm the daughter of Walhart." She finished her mug before placing it down. "Maybe you try because you want something to fill the gap in your life, hmm? Who were you born to, a pig farmer maybe? Possibly to an actual pig? Oh, that'd be a sight. Oink oink went the pig when she gave birth to a swine. Oink oink went the pig once more when she saw what a pathetic swine she gave birth to, and oink oink went the pig when she tried to eat the little swine." "Maybe you're trying to elevate your position, hmm? First a wealthy merchant who promises all her wealth? Maybe then something even grander like a mayor's daughter. And then you're already making your way to grander nobility. Swine at the queen's court! Bhah. Who am I trying to kid here, you wouldn't succeed in that. Swines are just destinied to go where they started from; into the mud. Your time will come, and when it comes the pig will be more than happy to go oink oink before devouring you." "The sword isn't leaving my grasp except if you kill me, and I am rather sure that a swine cannot wield a weapon convincingly when said swine is wounded and tired." cassius

“ GIMMIE THE BOOTY I WANT THE BOOTY ” The tavern keeper had conveniently been wandering about the place as he was mentioned and lo and behold, his boots were indeed muddy. But that was besides the point because her analogy was hopelessly wrong. Right? It wasn't the first time he and his family were compared to mud, dirt and sand, however he was sure that Tsan'lo was not of a noble blood. Who told her she had the right to say that? Actually, does anyone have the right to say that? No. Not to him or his family. "Hey, then give me back some of the coins if you only have that much." He said, "This is swindling at its lowest." Cassius frowned, but he downed what little was left of the ale. Wiping his lips with a satisfied exclamation his concentrated glare was unwavering despite the alcohol coursing through his body. The mention of her potentially being Walhart's daughter would have made him laugh, but the immediate jab at rural life that followed was enough to kill it. Cassius slammed his fist against the table after enduring most of the name-calling. The empty mugs rattled before he rose from his seat. Swine? Who the fuck was she calling swine? The moment she compared his mother to a pig was the moment he knew that the lady before him was vile, disgusting, scum. "Who do you think you are, kid?" The Captain snarled, "If you think I'd be tired from earlier, you're gravely mistaken. I've had worse. I've dealt with worse. That was just a walk in the park." He took a pause, looking down, his chest inflating as he pulled in air. "Don't tempt me now, or else I might really have to take that sword away— and your life."MADE BY ★MEULK FOR SHIV <3

"I think I'm someone not born to a swine." She shrugged calmly, the only thing even hinting at her mood being the smirk that was growing larger by every second. "I'm the one who's not getting angered and I'm not the one who might be starting an attack that might just get you thrown out." She nodded, at some point having drawn out her bronze sword as well, both of the swords now on her lap. "And if I may add, swine..." "I'm not the one throwing a fit here." She grinned, trying to eke the man on as much as she could. She -wanted- him to attack her and it was showing by now. "You seem easily frustrated by something I said there. Maybe your mother? Did I strike hard with that? Perhaps there is something dear you feel for her? Maybe she indeed IS a pig and you take insult to truth." She stroked her chin for a moment. "But I do wonder what a sick man would go out and mate with a pig, who would do such indeed. So horrible, don't you think? Oh, sorry, I am rather sure you cannot think horrid of your father even if he was poking his diddle into a pig's diddle. Do you even know him? Maybe he left. Would explain your horrid behavior and womanizing complex." She prepared her swords in case the man would lunge. cassius

“ GIMMIE THE BOOTY I WANT THE BOOTY ” To compare his family to the swine that littered the countryside was an apt analogy upon further inspection. While they were the bottom-dwellers on the hierarchy of this damned society, they were plenty smart and under-appreciated—or at least Cassius believed so. They may be filthy and they may interrupt their uproarious guffaws with a snort or two, but unlike the prim and proper notes of a noble's laugh, they were real. He saw her swords and although he had no true intention of clashing metal against metal, the itch came to his fingers. Cassius so desperately wanted to show her a lesson, to put her in her place, but he began to calm his nerves and his blood cooled. Cassius sighed. A long drawn out sigh. "I'm not here to cause a scene."This was supposed to be a simple retrieval, not a bloody confrontation. He had enough of those for one day, already. "I may not have the most refined of manners, but you're one to talk when it comes to 'horrid' behaviour." Cassius sneered, "Calling another's mother swine." He corralled his entire body to face her, "Where's your family, though? You're young... looking at least." Crossing his arms, he wanted to say something along the lines of her attitude being aligned with that of a child's but he digressed and pressed his chin into his chest. Be the better man. "I would not call her such if there was any other truth, but there is only one." She shrugged a bit, still keeping her swords ready as she listened to the man mentioned she looked young and where her family was. "Oh, so you like younger girls? How horrid. How young? Fifteen? Twelve?" She mocked him openly with anything that she could get her hands at as she then moved on to answering the question about her family. She smacked her lips together once as she wrapper hand a little tighter around the iron sword, as if trying to find the best words. "Somewhere. Probably raising another spawn and wishing that the next one will not run away like I did." She was not actually sure if her mother could have had more children after she had left. She was nearing forty years old, but who knows, Maybe nature would bless her... Or curse her, hopefully. "I wonder why you care. Perhaps wishing to know where they are so you could have instead taken bloody revenge for all these "insults", hmm? Or maybe you just wanted to know if they lived close by so that you could take me by force." "That's the wonder of this world. So many possibilities for horrible people like you to go about doing their tricks and schemes without worry nor care. So go. Tell the merchant the sword is staying with me and I offer my sincerest apologies for her stupidity, along with my condolences for her pains of having to tolerate your presence." cassius

“ GIMMIE THE BOOTY I WANT THE BOOTY ” Too bad that her truth was utterly and wholly in-cor-rect. After all, had she ever met his family? His lineage wasn't the most prestigious. In fact, it was far from, but whether he had noble blood or not had no weight to Tsan'lo's justification for calling his family swine. If only he could impale her like a pig on a rotisserie. He'd show her. He'd show her what a real pig was like. But, he put such murderous thoughts away in the dark recesses of his conscious and shamed himself for thinking such things. He wasn't that kind of person. Or maybe, he was. "By saying that, you're trying to say that I have some sort of interest in you?" Cassius rubbed his face, "For the love of Naga..."
His voice trailed off into a disturbed gravel. "No, I wish I knew where they were, so I could send you back in time for your curfew."
Hopefully she'd get a time-out too. Though, he had the inkling that she would rather slaughter her entire family than suffer through a child's discipline. He knew the type. Or at least, he thought he did. "I'm not who you think I am." Cassius asserted. With another characteristic lengthy sigh, he swayed his arm in front of him, as if painting a swath of bitterness in the air. "Look, I knew this would happen. I already gave the merchant some bullions to cover the cost, but damn it," He growled, "You are frustrating as hell."Cassius pinched the peak of his nose, massaging it in a pincer-like motion. "Why are you like this? Mommy-problems?" He took his hand away and crossed his arms, leaning back in his chair, "And I'm saying this in the most sincere way, I can."TAGGED Tsan'loNOTES Sorry for the wait, AGAIN MADE BY ★MEULK FOR SHIV <3

"Why am I like this?" She raised her eyebrow once. How did this man have the audacity of ASKING why she was like she was. She would not tell him her story, not even if he was the most sincere man on this plane of existance and she would not tell him if they were the last two people to ever be around anymore. So she simply shook her head once with something akin to a grunt. "Doesn't belong to you. Maybe my mother and family have a part in it, maybe they don't. Maybe I'm just like this because..." She rolled her eyes once. "Because I just am? Just maybe?" She was at the very least glad that the man had gotten frustrated by her insults. People deserved that if they tried to bother her, and hopefully now that the man had learned his lesson he would not be back for more any time soon. Hopefully. "Then why even come after me if you already oh so graciously covered up the cost from the blade? Some sort of code of honor and bride, to serve any fair maiden who happens to have had her sword stolen by not only paying for it but by also catching the thief responsible?" She raised her eyebrow for a matter of seconds before lowering it to it's usual slightly furrowed stance as she then stood up, stretching as she kept her swords drawn and in her hands. "Well. If that is all from you, I'll bid you a horrible evening and a hope that we will not meet soon." She bowed mockingly before starting to head outside. cassius
