BIO
• Cerise was born to a simple family in the small Valmese village that lay nestled within a valley on the edge of the Divine Dragon Lands, it was happy enough and she wanted for little. But then, at the same time, it was a life of boredom that was rarely if ever punctuated by something interesting, in fact, it was a downright boring existence for such a rambunctious young girl. And really, it was quite obvious she was not going to be just the seamstress' daughter for long. And this was only ever enforced by the young Cerise' fascination with the Manakete who would come to visit their village from time to time. She would always be one of the children that would come and gawk at 'The Voice of The Divine Dragon' that her parents worshiped so, while she herself couldn't get over how beautiful and serene the woman was. Of course this gawking would continue as she grew older, even forming into a fervent sense of attraction. But far more akin to adoration than anything else.
• And it was this fascination, coupled with the fact that she was more than eager to be anything but a seamstress or a farmer or a crafts woman or whatever meandering, awfully boring job one can find in a small village. That lead to her joining the small group of apprentices and guardians who served to help protect the Divine Dragon Lands. They were few in number and even less so in strength, but their ardent resolve to continue to protect and serve the Voice of the Divine Dragon filled her with a purpose and meaning in life. Even if much of her time there was spent training and learning, and very little ever spent in contact with the figurehead that had brought her to take her vows.
• She would train from the age of thirteen to nineteen in the arts of the sword and some magical ability, though much focus was put on her learning of the world and it's history. She was always told that it was not Swordplay which had saved all of creation from the Fell Dragon, but inspired men and women willing to become more than themselves that burned away the corruption and gave their lives in such an act. She spent much time musing on how the Voice of the Divine Dragon could act as the avatar of Naga and take on the eventual pain that would come with losing the friends she was so insistent on making, but who was she to question the avatar of divinity?
• Life continued much this way, sword play in the morning, learning midday and duties in the evening until quite suddenly she was called upon. It was to be a simple trip with three other members of the order, pay a visit to Ylisstol to put the Voice of the Divine Dragon at ease as she had some ill feeling. It wasn't a diplomatic mission first and foremost, and the senior members were bringing here along as a treat of sorts. She was finally given a chance to see the rest of the world! To visit the Exalt's court, to visit the holy confines of Mount Prism, it was simply a dream come true, even if The Voice of the Divine Dragon was to stay behind in her santuary within the Mila tree.
• This dream came to a shattering end, the envoy had only just engaged with the Exalt of Ylisse when the Fell Dragon Grima had been resurrected. Despite much protest, the nineteen year old Cerise was order to stay behind in the capital while the other warriors of the envoy joined the Exalt in battle. And, as they would say, the rest is history.
• And such, Cerise is now a wandering warrior, cut off from her home and her family and her duty after the destruction of the ships by the Fell Dragon. She has heard naught from her home, totally ignorant of any civil war, the state of her family and whether the voice of the Divine Dragon was still alive far across the sea to the west. She is desperately looking to return to home, and failing that, take up the duties set down upon humanity by Naga. Because she may be cut off from home, her friends and any contact with those she would call family, but her vows still hold as true to this day as they have.
