Cut off from Plegia and Ylisse by a great wall at the southern border, Ferox is a harsh land where strength is king. Like Ylisse, their ruling khans have been killed, though since it happened long ago, the new khans have claimed their titles, though they still have pockets of rebellion within their regions. On the north of Ferox by its snowy mountains are tanguel rebels uniting to claim Regna Ferox for themselves.
EAST FEROX
A pool of fighters and warriors, East Ferox saw growth in diversity upon its acceptance of tanguel and horse-rearing tribes under Sakalam's rule. One of its greatest discovery was a small tribe of oracles and priestesses that employ dark magic for divination and hexes, essentially being Ferox's version of the dark mages Plegia has. Many foreigners had also settled down in East Ferox where, if they did not offer talent in the blade, then they offered goods and technology in exchange. East Ferox became more self-sufficient through the improvement of agriculture and trading.
Many were content with Sakalam's rule and there were equally those unhappy about it. Several self-proclaimed khans of the east are spreading rebellions on the mainland. They believe that Sakalam was leading Ferox to a lost of its culture and identity, degraded into a mere mercantile country for outsiders to rule with gold. There were strong warriors who were poorer than merchants, angering Feroxis accustomed to the tradition and hierarchy of power.
In response to the rebellions, Sakalam had laid down a law called "Spoils For The Fittest" where bullion would be rewarded to the winner between battles of opposing sides. Should the rebels win against Sakalam, then they would be rewarded. Rebels who fight against rebels would be given reward as well. So far, no rebels have won against Sakalam and they have not chosen to fight among themselves...yet.
Military
As a militant nation, Ferox has a very powerful military. Sakalam may be unconventional but she still follows the rule of the strong. To attain a position in the military, one must prove themselves with the blood they spill.
