BIO
• Aurelia was originally born somewhere in Valm, but a sickness nearly took her life like it did her mothers. Her father, a 'wandering knight' took his child and traveled to Ylisse, plying his services where he could until he took a job in the Grand Duchy of Clarent. While her father had always wanted a son, he soon found his daughter to exhibit many tomboyish tendencies and settled. He taught her important skills like how to ride, and much of her young years were spent in the stables, giving her a fine eye for the quality and care of horses.
• Early scoldings informed her that lackluster work would not be tolerated once she also started to serve the Duchy's ruling house. From there, she worked hard... just not where anyone could see it. After finishing her tasks as quickly and effeciently as possible, she would often go to nap, or to watch the Duchess' daughter Lilou riding and practicing jousting. Watching how effortless the actions seemed to be, and her own affinity with horses, inspired Aurelia to request to be trained as a squire so that she could become a knight.
• The work was hard, again, though she always did her best to not that off. She much preferred the times relaxing, even if people did try to scold her for the frequent naps. No matter how hard she worked with the lance, she could never beat Lilou in a jousting tournament, always coming in second place to her. However, she did manage to eek out a close victory in a sword tournament once. From there on, she withdrew from most tournaments, instead spending those days heavily training when nobody would notice. She finally had her niche, and she found the lance much more unwieldy than her sword.
• Competition aside, she views herself as possibly the closet knight to the Duchess' daughter, Lilou, and their close ages has led to her being ordered to serve Lilou directly. She doesn't mind the assignment, even with the two of them having been almost directly competing in tournaments until Aurelia stopped participating in them. Aurelia enjoys working near Lilou even with her somewhat rigid, no-nonsense personality (which she makes efforts to tease her on, of course).
• Her current and ongoing task is still to ensure that Lilou's back is always covered. This has led her to being Basil's underling in keeping an eye on his younger brother and the leader of the Knights of Cydonia, Dorian. She finds a bit more sympathy towards Dorian for Basil's hard-nosed approach to things than Lilou, but at the same time, she can't fully sympathize, she's simply too used to living (and slacking) inside of a rigidly maintained society.
OTHER
While originally not from Ylisse, she's lived in Clarent for 22 of her 24 years, and as such considers Ylisse to be her home.
She's a pro at managing to get her required tasks done with the minimal amount of time/effort, leaving her plenty of room to sneak off somewhere to nap while avoiding trouble. It's become an art form practically.
Pretty sure I can deliver the LesYay.
