BIO
• The son of a castle chef and an up-and-coming young pegasus knight, Liam was afforded a modest childhood living on castle grounds. He was seen to get basic studies and, like many of the other castle kids, lived a carefree life as a child. His mother was around whenever she could find time - she would oft take him on short flights atop her mount, much to his joy. They would get home just before dusk, where father would be waiting with their own meal...
• And all of that ended during the Risen crisis. Following the declaration of war upon Plegia, Liam's mother was called to arms and set off with her fellow knights. The last time he saw her alive was through his own selfish tears at how he'd never get to ride off with her, father comforting him as the sun rose high. A fortnight; a letter. He had never seen his father cry until that day, and when the few flying knights that did return found their way to the castle, Liam was unable to look at them. He's been unable to deal with pegasus and the memories since; he staves it off as a fear of flying while he's trying to come to terms with his mother's sacrifice.
• Liam spent the better part of his time working around the castle, doing anything and everything he could to help the war effort. He made attempts to join the Ylissean army, but never made it far into training; by the time he had learned to turn the blade over in his hand, the major war effort was done and the heroes had given the price for peace. Dissatisfied with the resolution to the war in addition to his inability to help, he turned away from military service and, after a bought of soul-searching and wandering the broken country, found peace in the books of religion.
• Liam was soon a pupil to the teachings of Naga, finding some level of clarity and comfort among the clergy. They helped him come to terms with the impact of war upon his life, and in exchange, he vowed to give back twofold - for every man injured, he would heal twice as many of them, for twice as long, for twice as many reasons. Finding merit in his skill, he decided to honor his mother's loyalty to the army and enlisted as a healer, working to keep the men mended as they fended off Risen and bandits alike during the country's turmoil.
• Time flies. Service turns into rewards, and time served is time well spent. Liam's focused commitment to the wellbeing of his fellow soldiers saw him through promotions into leadership, where he used his will and words to lead his charges to safety. Liam became known for never losing a man during a skirmish with bandits; injured, bloody, and beaten, but no man would die on the fields he resided. As people passed on from positions due to death, political and social reasons, and age, Liam was given - and equal parts forced - into the position of being at the beck and call of the commanders of the Ylissean army just to go to war and heal them. Liam was, to say the least, not thrilled.
OTHER
Mother was a pegasus knight who perished during the Plegia vs Ylisse conflict, prior to Emmeryn's death.
Father was a chef for the castle.
Liam owns a cat named Terrace that aimlessly exists around the castle.
Liam keeps it a secret that he learned how to cook from his father, and so those that enjoy his meals are often in for a treat.
