BIO
• The story of Ceresi is a long, painful one filled with loss and sadness. It could be told in tales, fully and completely, telling of how she rose up to vow to not rest until she had gained a separate society for taguel and had exacted her revenge on the rest of the continent... but instead, it is a tale best told through that of those she loved. In all of her life, there have only been four men she had ever loved.
• The first, her father, was slaughtered when she was seven to protect her, his blood splattering across her face where she hid in the closet. It had been a group of human poachers when she was young, and her family had been out around a settlement that was normally hospitable to them, only for the poacher group to turn on them and attempt to slaughter the beasts, something that first introduced the young taguel to the dangers of man and causing the warren to impliment a ban against associating with humans.
• The second, a human, was gentle, sweet, kind... and she brought and end to him herself, her paws striking swiftly to dye the snow a dull red, the only protection her warren had against the coming humans. She had first fallen for him as a fifteen year old, and they had seen each other on the sly, off and on for three years until the day came when he promised to lead humans to her warren, and the elders, wishing to make a message, had her confront him, never expecting, never thinking that in that moment, all of her love would turn to rage as she killed him and then led the warren from their homes to somewhere safer, farther away from humans.
• The third, a manakete, was handsome, strong, brave... and one day she returned to her nest to find it empty, devoid of everything she had ever known, and slowly, as she curled inside the blankets, his scent faded until it was no more. She had found him after they ran, negotiated a deal to protect her warren in exchange for herself, only to slowly fall for him up in the cave, learning to trust him and having two children, a son and a daughter, around twenty-one before, one day, he was just gone, leaving her alone with an empty bed and two children who would grow up without a father.
• The last, her son, was the child she never expected to have, a beauty who was the center of her world... and she had to suffer the pain of wandering through the burning, smoked remains of her warren to find his blanket, abandoned and alone and charred, his scent gone and in that moment, her heart broke as she buried not only her family but her child, the most unnatural burden a parent could bear for their offspring. She had moved on, growing wiser and taking over the leadership with her warren, but after having to rescue her daughter from humans, she came back to find her home slaughtered, every single person either dead or missing.
• Her vows were short. Her anger was brief, cementing into rage and hatred. She promised that she would find a new warren, carve one out from the bowels of mankind if she had to, and then she would fight to keep her land and her people, teach the humans what it was like to suffer as the taguel had. She does not obey their laws. She does not respect their power. She is a taguel, and to a taguel, to give up is to die without honor. And she refuses to give up to anyone ever again.
OTHER
In her beast form, she is like that of the "traditional" taguel with the form of a large beast-like rabbit. With white ears and a white face, paws, and underbelly, she has mostly black fur, shaggy and clearly adapted for warmth. Lean and fierce, her body is obviously kept prepared for a fight, and she can deliver quite the strong kick in that form.
She often hides it, but due to her pure taguel heritage, she also has a small tuft of a dark brown tail with a white underside in her human form. It is probably her one weak spot, and it used to be that her manakete lover would spend days with her curled up beside him just gently running his fingers over it to make her melt into him.
Of her two children, her daughter is still alive somewhere, though the sixteen year old won't talk to her mother now and hasn't since Ceresi has embarked upon this path of war. Her son, meanwhile, she has left for dead, believing that even if the humans had taken him captive, he would have long since died at the hands of such barbarians. As far as their father, and her mate, goes, she has never attempted to look for him beyond what she did that first day of his absence, since then remaining where she was like a good mate until slowly the hope that he would return died within her.
