| ❝ He held his chin high nonetheless. Thorfinn's father did not once remind his sons the regal stature befitting of a nobleman, not that he was ever an example of one.
"That was your mother's job," he would grunt, eliciting knowing smiles of amusement from his two like-minded sons. Their father was no oaf, but he was rigid and quiet; a big, domineering, bushy-haired man with dark black eyes and was dressed with a brown tunic wrapped around by a leather belt the size of the hand. He had a small gemstone ring - his engagement ring with their mother - that sparkled in hues in contact with the light. He hated flashy decors but he loved that ring to the bottom of his heart.
"Can I have it?" he had asked when he was making preparations for departure. "For protection, or to serve as a constant reminder from you and mother."
"You already have one," his father said, putting a hand over the ring protectively. "You've had one your entire life. Live up to it."
"Oh, yes - I shall. Thorfinn of the former House Kingston to become a true warrior in battle!" He equipped the bow to his back and turned to find the serious face of his father. Thorfinn smiled softly.
"I'll come back. A true warrior always comes back alive."
So alone he had departed for their homeland, arriving to where the said Knights of Cydonia who intended to put an end to Grima, the dragon that wiped out the Ylissean royalty, were based at. There were people of diverse backgrounds gathered, but his swift march had taken the attention of many who did not recognize him. Thorfinn was just as confused as they were. He hadn't spotted a single familiar face in the little army organized by the Heartwood.
"Dooo-rian!" he called, barging in the first instance of a door he found. What were they doing here out in the open? Shouldn't they be housed in a mansion in town? Thorfinn took a good look at the knights he found inside. Not here either. Thorfinn frowned.
"Who are you people?"

MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | Among the crowd of men stood a single character, likely standing out from the armored. None of the present at the floor expected the doors to open so suddenly to reveal a cheery man calling out a certain name. How bizarre, for a man to stroll there and ask such a thing.
She gasped with her gloved hand over her mouth. A modest lady stood in the many men's company, dressed in a long, white and modest dress, partially covering her slender neck and the shoulders puffed. It appeared to resemble an elegant blouse and an elongated skirt, almost floor-length, in the same piece; most likely specially made by a hired tailor. She held a closed, black umbrella in her free hand, stretched down, and over her head was a small brimmed hat, tilted to the side. Over her nose rested a pair of glasses, and her red hair was tied in a high ponytail. Most certainly a lady of some important house. If only those around knew this woman's actual identity.
"My oh my," She suddenly let out in surprise, a delicate, high-pitched voice escaping her lips. "It appears our chatter was cut." She let out, somewhat jokingly. The woman sighed a huff of relief as she assumed who this was or what he was doing here. "However, I suppose this much will do. I thank you." She said, dismissing herself to address the stranger.
Broly did get some information from the knights; valuable information he most definitely would put to use later on in some crime scheme. But when this stranger ran in on them, his momentum ceased, and he was forced to cut his conversation mid-way. He was displeased, but retained the calm and gentle face of a lady that he put on through the entire investigation's course. This guy seemed a little out of place, but perhaps there was some use he could find for him, or to what he knows. Dorian was previously a member of this household, no?
She took a polite bow at them, lifting a corner of her dress with two fingers as to not accidentally trip over her gesture. Then she moved to greet the stranger. "Well-met. Who might you be?" |

| ❝ A lone voice responded. It spoke of nothing that answered his question and only brought about another because of the tone - or rather, gender - of the person. Thorfinn focused his attention to the lady amidst the company of the knights. She was covered from head to toe, dressed in a fashion of a true noble, with a striking scarlet hair that added an amorous flare to her monochrome attire. No matter how modest she might dress, that color of hers would grab anyone's attention.
Thorfinn didn't recognize her though. She appeared to be a noble but perhaps Thorfinn needed to ascertain that first. He was a socialite and did not forget his friends easily. Surely he would have embedded in his mind a certain rare redhead like her.
He released his frown of confusion and put on a matching chivalrous smile for his grandiloquent greeting. He took her hand and kissed it.
"I would be Thorfinn, my lady, Thorfinn of the House Kingston. It has been a while - two years, I believe? Yes, such a time ago was akin to eternity, having been away from Ylisse all this time. The time might had gotten the better of my memory so I hope you would be understanding..." Thorfinn crossed his arms and put the side of his fist on his chin, studying the woman, his frown returning. Though he made the effort to be respectful, Thorfinn didn't really have the intention of just forgetting the first thing that bugged him, whether it be a beautiful woman or not. He didn't bother apologizing about intruding either, though it might simply because he had not realized it it mattered. So he asked in complete quizzicality.
"But do I know you?"

"you know i'm bad, i'm bad, i'm really really bad"
MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | The way this man held himself, the clothes he wore and the overall feeling he radiated despite his sudden entrance, gave off his status in society quite quickly; at least, the woman managed to find a good assumption. He was probably a noble, she thought, but had to greet him regardless as not doing so would be highly disrespectful of her. As she guessed, he held his manners fabulously enough, performing a formal gesture to a lady of noble house. Per customary, she allowed such. After his brief introduction, it was proved her assumption was correct, too; 'Thorfinn of the house Kingston', admitting it had been two years since his visit in Ylisse. That, however, struck the man behind the guise quite badly. It probably meant his memory was hazy, and he lacked information about new things arranged in Ylisse. That did make him wonder however, where would a noble travel to for two years straight? Specifically where. He could exploit a little about that place if anything. "I'm afraid you do not..." The woman calmly claimed in response to Thorfinn's question. As rude as it would come off usually, he did warn her beforehand, and she understood he might have been baffled by her sudden arrival. It was completely legitimate however, and surely he did not expect things to remain as they were two years ago, right? With a soft-spoken voice and head slightly down, she proceeded. "I could not recognize Master Thorfinn myself, if it concerns you... This would be our first meeting however, so please worry not." She politely said, smiling at the man with a gentle wave of her gloved hand.
"I am pleased to meet you however. I come from one of the lesser houses in Valm, my father holding the title of Earl. Myself, I am Viscountess Hannah of the household Dion." She made sure to speak clearly as to not confuse her new company with those details. Being born to a man of noble status on its own made her a noble, as expected, yet as she was merely his child, her rank was inferior. She gestured slowly once more at the man in-front with a short bow, greeting him again.
"Shall we take a walk outside?"
Broly needed to play his cards right. Dion was once a house in Valm, he got to meet upfront when he was but 10 years old, accompanied by Gantz at the time. The fact ties between Ylisse and Valm were cut off because of the Grimleal allowed him to take advantage of this, with the usage of a lesser rank in noble hierarchy to excuse 'Hannah's' arrival. This was the same story he sold to the knights, and needless to say it worked well. |

| ❝ Thorfinn was not one to sink into the formalities himself but it had become a habit that did not discriminate between status. Even if the beautiful redhead was not a noble but was a commoner, he would have addressed her without the slightest difference.
"Oooh, Valm!" Thorfinn exclaimed, putting the side of his fist onto his hand. What was a Valmese noble doing here? "Odd, odd. An odd case indeed," he muttered, cupping his chin and looking up to the side. "Yes, yes, I suppose we could take a walk. Maybe two nobles would make it easier to find Dorian."
He took the lady by the hand and gently led the way. Many men would die to walk in tandem with a young woman with an exotic hair color but Thorfinn had his eyes everywhere but on hers.
"You're not the first one to not recognize me, m'lady," he began to talk. "I do not recognize any person here! I had been dreaming with great excitement of the touching reunions that awaited here, yet not a single old fiend had come to greet me. It makes me quite sad. Have I been forgotten already?"
