BIO
• Tobias grew up living with his sickly mother in a small home in Gra. Tobias never knew anything about his father--never even met the man either, and his mother never spoke much about him. It was a simple life with him and his mother, often helping around the house as much as possible to make his mother's day easier. His mother was a kind and loving woman, but could be stern when she needed to be--over all she always sought the best for Tobias. Tobias wasn't like most of the children where their house were--Tobias spent much of his time going to the stables near the church. It was one of the few places in which he could be left alone by the other children. Unlike the other children--the horses were calm and peaceful, and just like him the horses didn't seem to mind Tobias being there either. As long as he stayed quiet they allowed him to stay within the stable--many of the soldiers never even seem to notice the boy being there in the first place.
When Tobias was 8, his mother didn't seem to be her usual perky self as she always had been in the morning. His mother looked tired and on the verge of falling over when he found her trying to make food. Tobias spent most of the time helping his mother even with her protests, but as she would say--he was always a stubborn child when he wanted to be. Tobias spent much time helping his mother more than going out of the house at all, especially when she became bedridden. Even with the help of a few of her concerned friends, his mother's health slowly became worse over time. By the time that Tobias turned 9, his mother had passed away from a high fever--with no other living relative to take the boy in he was placed within the church's orphanage.
• Life in the orphanage was not an easy transition for many children, especially for Tobias. Through most days Tobias spent much time away from the other children, and while most of the adults could get near him--none of them could ever make Tobias speak. As always Tobias kept mainly to himself, and spent much more time helping with chores than playing with the other children. Other times he spent most of his time staying within the stables near the horses, and many of the adults leaved him be as long as he wasn't causing trouble. At least that was how most of the adults were, there were still a few that tried to get him to be closer or at least open up more. The harder they tried--the further away Tobias pushed away, and many of them had given up trying to get past the boy's cold exterior--all except for one cleric that didn't wish to give up on Tobias just yet.
Tobias was a quick learner than most of the children, he paid attention to his studies while doing the chores that he was assigned to. Tobias spent most of his night's studying within the stables. There was once that the cleric asked him why he chose to study there of all places instead inside the church along with the other children. The cleric was never given a response, but as she paid more mind towards Tobias--she started to understand how the boy worked. One day, she started to write notes for Tobias instead, and as she continued to do so--Tobias quickly caught on. As his mother would have said to anyone--Tobias had always been a shy boy, and couldn't find the words to use to speak to others. Instead of speaking he kept himself shut thinking it was a better solution, but--as he kept writing to the cleric--it was his way of communicating what he wanted to really say to her.
It was the first time he was actually able to make some form of communication towards a person.....
• Like many of the other children within the orphanage--Tobias decided to join the Plegian military at the age of 13 as a squire for one of their Paladins. He never spoke with the man except through writing, but that was always rare between the two; however, Tobias spent much time following orders with no problem at all. The Paladin became like a father towards Tobias, often looking out for his well-being, and teaching him how to properly use a lance. Tobias enjoyed the lessons even though he never actually spoke right about them, and did his best to show that he could be a soldier for the military as well. Tobias was given his first his first horse when he was officially a soldier of the military at the age of 17. The strong horse was given the name Spirit, mainly due to its spirited attitude, and the occasional times where it didn't seem to have a problem with pulling at people's armor or hair.
Tobias spent much time with Spirit, learning to move as one with him--though surprisingly he never seem to mind Spirit's temper with pulling. Little times people always admit to seeing even a small smile on the boy's face, and even though he was a quiet individual--he never went against orders, and always got his jobs done. Tobias and Spirit became an inseparable team, sharing many battle scars and missions together--most people would say you wouldn't see Tobias anywhere else except near the stables or by Spirit's side. It wasn't the fact that Tobias was trying to avoid people, but it was the fact that he did take care of his horse better than most people he would interact with. Though he wouldn't be able to speak to an animal entirely, Spirit understands Tobias' actions more than anyone, and can sense when something wrong with him--Spirit was the only companion that Tobias could be calm near.
• As time grew on, Tobias rose through the military ranks with steady precision, by the time he was 20--he was sought out by the intelligence division. Mostly they took on more thieves and those that could actually gather intelligence better than anyone, but it was due to Tobias' quiet behavior, and getting the job done that caught their eye. It wasn't easy for Tobias when he first joined their division, most of those that joined before him couldn't see a use for a Cavalier. Others however saw the potential the boy could be if given enough training, and as always Tobias learned very quickly what the intelligence division did. Mostly he spent his time either doing field work, or operating undercover as one of the nobility's working cavaliers or as a mercenary looking for a shred of gold. Either way it wasn't a life that Tobias would have expected for himself, but he did everything for the sake of his country.
• Amazingly through the past year, he seems to get along just fine with the people of the intelligence division. Many of them keeping to their own business while he kept onto his, and during most times he has worked with a few of them. Never for long and never for good as most of them take to their own path as soon as they're done with the mission. During most days, Tobias was given a handler as a means to make sure that nothing went wrong with the mission, or for others it was the person he would get his missions from. Never really climbing the ranks too fast, but never to slow either. If anything Tobias learned much from the Paladin he had trained under, including the tenacity of making sure going up the ranks safely and steadily. Though ultimately Tobias has no real interest in taking over the division, but keep himself at a high enough level where he could get better pay.
OTHER
Tobias has no visible scars on his face, but he does have a few scars littered across his very body. Most visible is a long cut along the side of his neck going towards his chest, but he keeps his scars hidden for good measure--especially the ones on his hands. Spirit is a golden colored horse with a black mane and black socks. His horse is a mischievous one that likes to pull at people's armor or hair, and at other times will roughly pull at a person's cloths or hair, or even bite their hand if they insult him or Tobias.
Spirit is also known for his escapes......
