BIO
• Lalaru was the youngest of two siblings and was the child of a disowned noble, her father. Her father did not find the life as a noble fitting for him, not because he particularly disliked the lifestyle but because he wasn't good enough. He had a crippling insecurity, which his brother, Lalaru's uncle, tried to be supportive of. Her father was constantly bullied and ostracized that he his bottled emotions exploded all at once. His later actions caused a rift in the family until his parents grew tired of it and disowned him. Lalaru's uncle had her father taken care of by a friend, a mercenary who convinced the leader to take him in. It was through this point that the story eventually led Lalaru, child of a noble, to grow up as a sword-for-hire.
• By the time Lalaru was born, her father's issues had mostly been resolved. When she was growing up, he talked fondly of Lalaru's mother. Lalaru never asked where her mother was. She had, for some reason, assumed she would see her someday. By the time she was sparring with a real blade and dealing with bodily changes no one had been kind enough to explain to her about, she had a realization that her mother was dead. It wasn't until when Lalaru was 17 did she mention this to her father. Her father was aghast. Apparently, her mother is alive. What was even more, she had a younger brother with her mother. Why did her father neglect to mention it? He thought they would be coming back "soon." Lalaru had slapped her hand to her face.
• Soon after the discovery, Lalaru's mother along with her brother came home and she had a story to tell. Lalaru's mother was on the way home when she ran into the Shepherds. She had left her infant son to Lalaru's uncle to join the fight against Plegia. Lalaru recalled those uncertain times but she had been taken care of well enough to be distanced from those affairs. The battle against Grima was lost. The heroes who fought all died. Lalaru's mother joined the search to find the Shepherds' tactician but years without clues made them give up. Though the news had been troubling, Lalaru had set it at the back of her mind, believing it was a thing of the past. She got to know her mother and her brother who had been raised as a pompous noble by her grandparents.
• At 22, Lalaru was introduced to her grandparents and uncle. It took over a year but her father was eventually convinced to reconcile with his family. He encouraged her children to live with them but he opted to return to the mercenaries. Lalaru considered the mercenaries as her family too. She spent a lot of her time mediating with her father and trying to get her brother to warm up to her. Unfortunately, she failed on both. Lalaru had taken interest for the education provided to her. She wanted to learn and more importantly, she wanted to know jut how good she was.
• Lalaru's background caused her to be alienated at first but unlike her father, Lalaru paid no mind. She made her own peers and minded her own business. Lalaru became a knight at the late age of 25 but that didn't hinder her progress. She was one of the most trusted knights in Ylisse. Being a fellow swordswoman had helped getting her close to the Exalt. Though they weren't close friends, they recognized each other as worthy warriors. Worthy enough to accompany the Exalt to defeat Grima.
• Lalaru began to recall the story of her mother. It wasn't until they were already in Plegia that she realized she never told the Exalt about her mother's story. It was the last thing Lalaru told her. The last exchange she had with the Exalt. Lalaru recalled how they were brimming with confidence and hope, speaking so passionately about how they would win the battle their parents did not.
• Grima, once more, won. Lalaru was a survivor. In the past two months since the world saw Grima's resurrection, she was in a coma. Lalaru recently woke up and found out the aftermath. Her injuries still would not allow her to return to her duty as a knight. But Lalaru didn't need a sword for this battle Ylisse was facing. It might not be her forte but she had decided that it was the time for her to join politics.
