BIO
Born in West Ferox to a family of traditionally strong warriors, Freja was the second oldest child of the family - there were at least three younger than her. Her only older sibling, her brother, was a true fighter through and through and as such Freja always lived under his shadow. This upset the lady a lot, who had tried to follow under the footsteps of her father by taking up the axe. Though she had trained hard under her father and tried to compete with her brother, she could never beat him. Of course, this might have had something to do with the fact that her mother was always fighting in the most impractical of clothing - instead of a usual garb that was more conducive to quick fighting, she was always wearing some manner of robe or dress. Freja, wanting to prove that she was skillful enough to battle under any circumstances, tried to copy her mother's style - eventually, she had her younger sister sew a set of black dresses for her.
The only saving grace to these dresses was the fact that slits were exposed to allow Freja's legs more movement. But that was pretty much it - they were very tight which at first gave Freja lots of discomfort during battle, but due to her resolve and resilience she was able to keep her eldest brother on her toes even whilst wearing the black dress and using an axe while the brother used a sword (which their mother used in battle). However, something tragic happened - during a huge misunderstanding between her brother and a rival family, the brother was "accidentally" killed in a brawl he did not bother to resist out of respect for the family. This naturally infuriated Freja, who was now next in line to succeed the family, and rashly challenged the rival family's strongest fighter as a form of revenge.
This battle took place not far from the arena, where Freja was seen wearing the black dress her sister sewn for her. Ridiculed for her poor choice of clothing, Freja took advantage of this underestimation to decimate her opponent, using the sheer size of her axe to shatter her opponent's weapon. Because he had no more weapon, he surrendered and was shamed. Vengeance appeased, Freja decided to try and test her luck in the arena, but was unfortunately stopped because... Well, she was... She didn't really seem fit for the role, wearing that dress and all. Through some convincing, they allowed Freja in at last but Freja eventually lost to the West Ferox champion. Though she was quite young at the time, she had just turned 18. Resigned to her fate, Freja opted to leave her family and go on a journey of self-discovery and training and see if she really ought to prove herself through beating the Feroxi champion.
In her black dress, Freja began to wander aimlessly, finding various spots and finding various other wanderers and other towns and establishments where she could practice and train her skills. At the same time, she was able to put them to the test by defending some villages she stayed in from brigands and bandits from other locations. At some point, she developed some reputation for being a silly fighter in an strangely opulent dress. Eventually, Freja discovered she enjoyed this lifestyle more, and continued travelling. This would soon come to an end as a village she stayed in was set upon by bandits. Defending it as she would be wont to do, she encountered another lady with an axe named Edana, who was in league with a group of bandits. While Freja tried to fend off the bandits, she was continuously locked in battle with Edana, who she was able to overpower after a good deal of fighting, but of course, Freja couldn't fight for much longer too, and she would cripple herself if she continued.
Yet, Freja realized that there was a passion for life somewhere in those arms. Freja thought it would be such a waste... Freja told that Edana to spend her energy and efforts in the arena instead of leading such a life of banditry.
Little would Freja know that Edana would beat the champion of West Ferox.
But all Freja continued on doing was wandering.
The Executioner in a Dress, as she soon came to be known by, came about as a nickname when Freja soon grew sedentary of just fighting barbarians and brigands she considered weak. Eventually, she sought to get through the ridicule of fighting with the combination of a big axe and such an unusually fancy dress, and as she began to wow the competition - win or lose - with how she had always failed to trip over while wielding something like an axe, gave her the nickname. Then again, she rarely lost.
OTHER
Freja won't comment if you underestimate her. Just be warned that she's not exactly a weakling at all. She can be kind and a good person to talk to casually or out of the battlefield, but when she gets going, she gets going. Regarding romance, Freja is pretty open to everything. Then again, she's not exactly been courted. Perhaps that might change.
