BIO
• Twellen was born in Ferox and had an older sister. They had a normal childhood typical of Feroxi children. They hunted, raised sheep, travelled long distances, and concerned themselves in strength. Their father left them when she was ten, leaving her mother to raise both of them. Since her mother cannot watch over them when she was away, by day, the sisters were put under the care of a small Ylissean school in the border - a four-hour journey from and to on horseback. Despite the inconvenience, Twellen and her sister made the most of their education. Though it was not typical of a Feroxi, growing in a lax family, they didn't know any better.
• Twellen made good Ylissean friends. They shared what little they had to her and her sister such as books and writing materials. The community treated them well too. In return, Twellen and her sister would hunt for them and enjoy a small feast together. In Twellen's education in Ylisse, she learned much about the country and how outsiders viewed Feroxi. She and her sister shared a desire to move into the village where they could lead a more stable life. It wasn't until Twellen was seventeen that her mother became convinced and decided to move into Ylisse.
• Initially, both Twellen and her sister were intending to join the convent but Twellen didn't want to have the same "occupation" as her sister. The two eventually separated paths. Twellen intended to continue studying and become a teacher someday. When she was twenty-three, opportunity knocked on her doorstep. A foreign sage had dropped by the village and after meeting Twellen, she invited her to come and learn under her. Although Twellen had doubts because of how old she already was, she thought there was no harm in trying. Eager to learn and travel, Twellen accepted the offer. In four years time, she became a dark mage of her own right.
• Twellen spent a year visiting remote villages in Ylisse before she decided to return to her homeland. She was able to find her father again and the family was able to reunite after almost twenty years. Her father already had a family of his own. Although her parents never reconciled, they were respectful and kept in contact with each other. Four years later, her mother would pass away.
• Twellen was contacted by her former teacher, inviting her to become a professor in an international sorcery school in Plegia. It was a non-discriminatory school that nurtured talent in magecraft. Most of its current students are adults around the age when Twellen herself started learning under a master seriously, as most parents were not supportive of its open-enrollment policy and continued to fear the presence of Ylisse just on the other side. In ten years time though, the graduates of the school sent their own children and young relatives. Twellen became the school's second headmistress upon the retirement of her predecessor.
OTHER
Twellen is the headmistress of Mannaz School of Magical Arts, located in Medon, Plegia. It was established twenty years ago by a society of international sages, which arrived in Ylisse from a foreign land fifty years ago. Although the facilities are not quite prestigious, the school provides top-notch quality of education and is open to students regardless of race and nationality. Maintaining its neutrality has made financial needs difficult to meet for the school.
