• Before the tale of Emeline came to be, let's take a step back and tell the story of the two people who brought her into this world. In the continent of Valm, Ulrich was raised into a minstrel family, very well known for performing in royal weddings and parties. Because of their reputation, Ulrich was given high expectations to impress the the royal family and their guests. However, he performed not because it was expected of him, but because he thoroughly enjoyed it. He wanted to touch people's hearts with his music, and that was exactly what he did. Ulrich became the pride and joy of parents, and as he grew in age, so did his skills. Ulrich was also a faithful member of the Resistance, his songs lifting the spirits of many who fought against Walhart the Conqueror.
• Angèlique was a well known Wyvern Rider, famous for ability to tame and raise these powerful beasts. Despite her mother's wish on having her become a priestess of Naga, the young female wanted to see the world with her own eyes. However, she had been diagnosed with a fatal illness, yet never knew how long she had left to live. Despite the brief amount of time she had, Angèlique left her home and days after she left, she ran into Ulrich. They say love at first sight is a powerful and tender feeling, and in this case, it was right on the mark.
• After five years of being together, Ulrich and Angèlique had been bound by marriage, thus receiving their first born son, Edgar. Two years later, Sophia came into the world. And finally, Emeline, the third born, was born during a warm Spring afternoon, making her the last child to be brought into the family. Emeline grew up without ever knowing her mother, for the dreaded illness had finally taken her soul to the afterlife. The only reminder of her mother was a baby male wyvern by the name of Fenrir, Angèlique's wyvern's hatchling. However, this didn't stop the child from growing up happily with loving older siblings and a caring father, as well as a dragon companion.
• During her childhood years, Emeline attended school for in-training Wyvern Riders, and had a hard time fitting in with the rest of her classmates. Despite being a straight A student, the girl struggled in a certain class that taught students to manhandle their wyverns into submission. Emeline found such taming methods uncomfortable, for she wasn't a physical sort of person. She discovered one day during class that she had a natural talent for empathizing with her wyvern companion, feeling a much deeper connection with her dragon. Fenrir and Emeline had been inseparable since the day the girl was born, thus already developing a strong bond between human and wyvern.
• At the age of 15, Emeline was introduced to the ways of the minstrel, captivated by the beauty of song and dance. She wanted to learn, to be like her father, who could sing in front of royalty without any sign of fear. She admired her siblings who were also performers, following in their father's footsteps. They traveled as a family, and it brought Emeline joy. However, despite what she had learned from her father, she yearned to travel the world and share her potential and love for the musical arts. So, a year later, she began her journey as a traveling minstrel, leaving with her family's blessing and a smile on her face.
• Three years had passed and Emeline had become a seasoned minstrel as well as a Wyvern Rider, with the guidance of her mentor and best friend Cecily. The two had met two years ago while the young minstrel was searching for a way out of Valm, finding that the fellow female had retired early as a Wyvern Rider due to a serious injury which made her no longer able to wield her weapon. However, Emeline had potential, and Cecily found that whenever she was near the young Wyvern Rider, she found her spirit lifted and felt carefree. And so, the two began traveling together, hoping to spread hope into the continent of Ylisse in their darkest hour.

• Fenrir is a powerful and intimidating dragon, given to Emeline as a gift from her mother before she passed away. Incredibly stubborn yet protective, this wyvern becomes envious of anyone who diverts her attention from him. With large wings and sharp claws, Fenrir is most terrifying when threatened.
