I'm no fool. Tobias wasn't exactly the best person when it came to conversations. Most of the division knew this already, and spent much of their time getting used to it. He was still considered a rookie to them, but the said rookie wasn't doing so bad either. Though he wasn't doing any high paying jobs--he was still up there to make some sort of name for himself.
Either way he spent the day like anyone else in the division--doing his own thing. Mainly people would see him pop up here or there, and others tended to see him head to the stables. It was one of the few things he liked to do either, and the stables were the quietest place within the palace. It was just a good thing that he kept a close contact with the Paladin that he squired for.
An apple in hand and a brush in the other as he went to Spirit's stall. It was easy to find the horse--one just needed to follow the occasional yelps. A few glares here and there is what he was already used to.... Most people didn't understand him either way, and he just plain ignored them whenever possible. Tobias entered Spirit's stall with no further incident when he gave the horse the apple.
As always Tobias steadily brushed through Spirit's mane with the brush. This was one of the few pleasures that Tobias let himself have when he wasn't on a mission. Even during the mission he would take the time to visit his steed. It kept him grounded and calm rather than guarded and closed off. Tobias moved his head to the side taking away the crick in his neck as he continued to brush.
As soon as he was done he placed the brush down. He gave a slight yawn as he sat down in a pile of hay near Spirit. Tobias closed his eyes for a moment letting the quiet sounds of the horses relax him. It was a short moment when he felt someone's eyes on him. Tobias' eyes opened looking towards the feeling, and didn't turn away when he caught their eyes.
Tobias blinked for a moment before reaching for the pencil and journal. He scribbled into the journal before lifting it up to the person so they could see the writing, "can I help you?"

Yos was hanging from the ceiling. Yes, he was hanging from there. Upside down, actually. He wasn't doing it for fun, no. He was just there to make sure no one would kill the fine animal that had just been brought to the stables. The horse was... Majestetic. It seemed young, healthy, it had everything a horse needed to be the best damn horse in this whole building. The others were boring, in so many different ways. But he did feel that the blood was going to his head a fair bit as he hung from there. Sure, he knew there was a person there. He'd watched him for a while too, before returning his eyes to the fine horse that the man had brushed. Had to be the horses owner. He needed to somehow get the horse for himself at some point. He would plan the murder out swiftly. Perhaps an accident that would actually be an murder, yes. Would it look like an accident if there was a knife lodged into your forehead? It probably did. I mean, floating knives were a pretty big problem. Or maybe he could get the horse to eat the man. Maybe. He then blinked as the person finally noticed him, tilting his head enough to barely read the text. He then wondered what he would answer to that. Maybe he should answer with the knife and claim the horse for his own and then hug it and then ride it and "Nothing. Just watching." Tobias

I'm no fool. Somehow seeing a man hanging from the ceiling was both new, and yet not surprising. At least for a person like Tobias, he showed no emotion as he watched the person read from the journal. The person tilted their head when they were trying to read the text. Though his attention seem to go back towards Spirit as soon as he was done, I don't remember seeing him before.....
Tobias steadily got back on his feet as he watched the person. He placed a hand against Spirit's side as the horse seem to move in front of him. Tobias tilted his head as he patted the horse's man. He wasn't sure the exact reason as to why Spirit would suddenly do such a thing. Though Spirit seem to be trying to initiate a staring contest between himself and the newcomer.
Tobias raised a brow before sighing and placing his forehead against Spirit's neck. He closed his eyes for a moment murmuring under his breath, "what am I going to do with you?" He heard a huff of breath leave Spirit, and he gave a soft smile before moving away petting him. Tobias' face went back to a solid expression as he looked at the man.
Scribbling once more into his notebook he turned it back towards the man, "I haven't seen you around here before......" This was something that Tobias was definitely sure of. He never forgot a face, and the face he was seeing at the moment--was someone he never met or pass. The person was currently a mystery for Tobias that he wanted to bring to light.
Tobias wrote in his journal once more, and then showing it off again, "you could always come for a closer look..... I don't recommend it though....."

"Already done that." He nodded as he kept hanging from the ceiling. For those wondering how he did it, he had just... Placed a grappling hook onto his left foot, and to his right foot... And to make it better he ALSO did attach a rope from his chest to the roof. He had gone trough a lot of planning for something so little as watching a horse. But that horse was a fierce one. He could SMELL it's spirit from so far away. He could still smell it. Or was it the horse poo? Could be both, really. He then kept hanging from there for a moment before continuing his explanation. "I come here when they all sleep." He furrowed his brows. "Good time to research. Get some supplies. Pet." He nodded once. He had given the sleeping horse a pet from time to time, being careful not to wake it up. He needed a way to tame this demonic beast from hell, to bend it to his will and make it his own. Make it his teed. His horse. Look at his horse, it would be so amazing. Probably tasted like raisins too. Who knows, who knows. He coughed for a moment, thinking on how he should answer to the man. "Spymaster." Simple words. He had been promoted recently. Tobias

I'm no fool. There was something about the way he spoke about coming in here to pet the horses. Especially when he spoke of the part of research, and almost immediately Tobias gave a cold stare. Tobias did not like that word more than anything in the world, and to hear that--it gave him the chills. He patted the side of Spirit's neck as he watched the man above him--if he could use the lance to cut the rope......
It wasn't like he was trying to start a fight, but--he was getting tired of having to look up. Tobias wrote in the book once more, "any elaborate reason as to why you need to hang upside down?" He blinked a couple of times waiting for his answer before writing again. He placed the journal up to read once more, "you're not one of those creeps that are toooo into animals are you?"
Tobias raised a brow when the man coughed, and then along the lines of spymaster. It took a moment for Tobias to connect the two together, and both brows raised. He had heard from others that they were under a new leader, but he wasn't expecting them to be--well--this guy. He was overly twitchy, and he looked about ready to stab anyone. Tobias was also very sure he was the type to make weird excuses.....
Tobias wrote in his book again, "so you're Yos..... I heard a lot about you....."

"I do enjoy the companionship of animals, yes. I have a fe-- wait you know me" He instantly cut the rope and de-attached the grapplers keeping him stuck to the roof as he then landed down, having managed to land on his legs just in time before the collision against the ground as he then stared at the boy. leaning forwards for a few moments as his eyes studied him very thoroughly, almost as if undressed him. He was a threat. He could stab him in the face right now and he would be dead. Or he could strange. Or maim. Or crush. Or poison. He was a mute. Or someone who PRETENDED to be a mute. Ah yes, the silent man gambit. He had heard of it during his times inside the box. They would play the part of a very silent and possibly traumatized person and get inside the household of a person, and spend possibly years with them as their faithful manservant before then stabbing them in the neck. Or the back. Or the forehead. Something that killed was the main point. Maybe he would stab him in all three. His eyebrow twitched for a moment as he kept staring, the only indicator of his thoughts. He completely ignored the question about why he was hanging from the roof as he kept staring for a moment, stroking his scarf in a very neurotic manner as his eyes suddenly ripped open. "Did I feed the..." He looked around for a moment before calming down. He then turned his head back to the person. He raised his scarf to cover his face as he then grinned in a victorious manner. He would reveal this gambit for the assassin he was! "You're someone trying to kill me, right?" Could have gone trough better. Tobias

I'm no fool. So it was officially clear that he was working with a psychotic neurotic idiot--at least that was what everyone else in the division called him. Well--behind his back anyways now that he was the spymaster. He wasn't exactly sure why, but he had the urge to just keep calling him that. Tobias raised a brow when Yos decided to come down from his little--would one really call that a hiding spot?
Either way--Yos was staring at him, and Tobias only stared back waiting to see if he would say anything. Apparently Yos didn't get the chance to read anything about him yet, and as always Tobias learned better from other people. Tobias leaned against the wooden framing of the stables waiting for Yos' next move. He couldn't exactly say he knew what Yos was thinking, but he was sure he caused some sort of trouble.
Tobias blinked a couple of times--his brows furrowing, and then rising at the accusation. Did he really believe him to be an assassin here to kill him? Well, Tobias couldn't exactly say his hands were clean, and he spent much time gathering information. Some of those didn't end up being as clean as he would have liked, but right now this was ridiculous.
Tobias sighed as he wrote in the journal, "this is why everyone calls you an idiot behind your back....."
Tobias patted Spirit's neck once more before sitting down, he studied Yos quietly for a moment. Tobias picked up the lance that he had brought and had settled on the floor next to him. He looked at his own reflection for a moment, and then looked at Yos. Without hesitation he brought the blunt end near Yos' head as he stared hard at him, "I'm.....not mute......"
He looked away for a moment hating that he was going to have to speak. Though if anything writing the words weren't going to help him in this situation. So for now he would speak--as much as he could, "I--don't like speaking...." He looked down before finally dropping the lance to the side, and grabbing his journal. He scribbled in it again, "this is how I communicate....."
"Also, I've been working with the intelligence division for well over a year...."

"And I've been six years inside a box. Life can be so weird sometimes." He proceeded to swat away the blunt part of the spear away with the back of his hand, clearly a bit uncomfortable as he then stared at the boy. Or he might be older than he was. But he had struck trough his silent man gambit, now he would just have to find a way to get trough the confessed silent man argument. That was when someone had been revealed from the silent man gambit, but still stuck to being a "good" person. Ohoho. "If you do, you know where the torture chambers are, yes?" He tilted his head for a moment, leaning forwards. "Come. I need your help with something over there. Make haste." He motioned his hand in a manner that implied that the boy should follow him as he left the building. He wrapped his arms around his back, taking a little natural hunch that he had developed inside the box as he begun to go trough the castle grounds, towards the chambers. He was going to teach the boy something about not being an idiot. It was... Going to be satisfying. Tobias

I'm no fool. Tobias watched Yos carefully as he gotten up saying to follow him towards the chambers. He knew what chambers he was speaking of, but Tobias wasn't exactly a master at it. He was an intelligence officer, but that didn't mean he was that cold to torture. He looked at Yos for a moment knowing he wouldn't look back at him. Instead he stood picking up his lance following Yos at his side.
He didn't look at Yos nor did he want to know what exactly the man was planning on doing. Tobias wrote in his journal though and ripped a page out handing it over to Yos, "six years locked away? Mission gone wrong I'm assuming?" Tobias didn't reveal anything on his face, but he was neither smug or trying to make a joke out of it. He just tried to get some kind of answer as to what happened to him.
He just watched Yos' reaction for a moment before writing again and handing the note over, "sore topic?" This time he didn't look at Yos--instead he looked straight ahead of them. Though he stopped for a moment when he heard his name being called. Tobias turned his head towards the voice finding a fellow intelligence officer near them. Tobias passed another note to Yos, "wait for a moment....."
Tobias went towards the agent as the man handed him a few documents. Tobias stuck the sharp end of his lance into the ground as he placed the documents safely in his belt. He would read them later, but for now--he would focus on the task on hand. That very task was following his boss to whatever was at the torture chambers. Though Tobias couldn't help the nagging feeling at the back of his mind.
He returned back to Yos once he was done resuming the walk again. He didn't dare open the papers out in the public, and would only open them when they were in the chambers. Tobias looked at Yos finally as they were near the chambers handing another note, "what exactly are we doing here?" Tobias watched him closely as the grip on his lance tighten--he waited patiently for the answer.

"Went about as wrong as a mission could." He shook his head for once. "Very sore topic. Robbed me of any human contact for years." He grimaced for a moment, doing his best to try and act calm. "... Can't tolerate boxes anymore." He visibly flinched for a moment, ignoring the fact that Tobias left him for a while as he then waited near the chambers. Once he arrived he pushed both himself and Tobias in as they then entered the famous torture chambers. It was rather cold, truth be told. Water was dripping down the walls. "Don't mind the water. Closed off and flooded the entire entrance hallway yesterday. Had someone who was deathly afraid of water and had to get something out of him." He stroked his chin for a moment. "He didn't in the end say much. Happens when you almost die from being drowned. Been in shock, need to try again when he wakes up." Yos spoke with a mix of enthusiasm, mechanical correctness and someone who just enjoyed their job and knew that he was good at it. They then went trough a few more doors before getting to their last stop. He opened the door slowly. Inside was someone who was... Surprisingly good looking at the moment. Just some female clad in the priest robes of the grimleal, rather well in the manners of bust, all around pleasant looking face, clean. Blindfold and gag don't do that much to ruin one's good looks. "But I will... Hah." He suddenly spoke out loud after his thoughts, coughing for a moment. "She's grimleal. Need to find out if there's a cult spawn right here in the capital region. You try to get something out of her, I'll... Go and prepare." With that he left Tobias alone with the woman. Tobias

I'm no fool. He somewhat regretted asking why they were here in the first place. As soon as Yos opened the door, the first thing that hit Tobias' nose was blood, and what seem to be the smell of water damage. How they managed to do that--he wasn't sure until Yos explained it to him. He looked at Yos with both brows raised in surprise, and shook his head afterwards at that kind of torture.
For a moment Tobias wished that Spirit was near him now, because being in a place of interrogation--it wasn't a place for him. Yes, he was always able to get his information, but he hardly had to torture someone for it. Most of the people he got information from--tended to be leave it out right in the open for him. What was Yos' angle on this though? Tobias couldn't be sure until they were there.
It didn't take long either as Yos opened the door--to his shock--there was a girl tied up.
Tobias was about to say something when Yos went off saying he needed to get a few things. He was officially alone with the woman that was tied up. For a moment he didn't know whether to sit or to try and leave. She was a Grimleal Priestess, and he remembered studying on the Queen's dislike for them. Though Tobias himself didn't have any grudge against them--he didn't cozy up to them either.
Tobias pulled a chair close enough to where the girl was before pulling the gag. She couldn't see him, so he wouldn't be as nervous to speak. "What is your name?"

"M-Millie oh grima please save me" She blurted out rather quickly and then suddenly jerked her head back, as if waiting for a hit against her face. When none came, she seemingly relaxed a bit and let out a hard breath of air. "I've been here for weeks... I swear, I swear, we were just denouncing the high priestess and building a new church! We weren't trying to convert people! We weren't trying t--" She hung her head, seemingly collapsing into sobbing and all around being a mess. What kind of mental torture did she go trough to end up like this? Oh, Yos knew. He already had different supplies gathered with him as he slowly began to waddle his way trough the blood reeking hallways. He felt giddy. He could get some revenge. Soon, soon, soon, soon, soon. It would be his, and the information too. But that was just a neat little bonus. Tobias

I'm no fool. Slowly he went through the 101 of torture that he had learned from one of the other members. Mainly one always started off with the simple questions--it was a way to keep the detained calm and sometimes more reasonable. Violence was always used as a last resort as his father figure would have placed it. Tobias kept his emotions in check when he did these things.
He looked at her and gave a soft sigh as he spoke, "relax, Millie. No one is here to hurt you..... I just want to talk, is that okay with you?" He waited for the answer before continuing on, "how old are you, Millie?" Slowly, but surely he went through the lists of questions that went through his head.
When those were done he moved the chair closely as he leaned in pressing his fingers to the side of her neck. He watched her movements closely making sure she wouldn't try kicking out. "Easy..... I'm--just checking your pulse--you can gain a lot from that....." He waited for a few minutes as he waited for Yos to step in any moment.
He continued on, "is Millie your real name? Are you born in Plegia? How old are you? Do you worship Grima? Are you loyal to the Queen? Where are you building this new church? Are you recruiting people into the Grimleal?"
He waited for all of these questions to be answered before he looked back hearing the door open again. He waited for Yos to come in, and set down whatever he needed to set down before getting up. He moved the chair back to where it was before, and moved towards Yos.

Yos proceeded to gently kick the door open with his leg once it sounded like Tob was done with asking questions. What he held seemed simple enough. Very simple in structure. That is, it was a a tall box, around the size of the woman. He let out a little whistle as he then walked over to the girl, drawing out a rope as he then tied it around a hook that was set above the chair the woman had been tied to. He then quickly kicked her chair away as she fell onto the floor. He proceeded to position her so that she was standing. He quickly whispered to her. "If you run, you'll die. This you might survive." He then pulled on a few levers that were attached to the box as the walls suddenly opened up (it looked like they could be put back in place with another pull of the switch) as the insides of the box were revealed. It was... Well, nothing was inside. Except for the spikes that were attached to the insides of the box. They were everywhere, except for certain points, that from examination seemed to be... Around the neck, the head, and the heart. He then watched the woman for a moment, holding the levers as the box was held above her, the walls ready to close up. "There are a few airholes there... For you to shout the answers to all of those." He then suddenly pulled the switches as the spiked box walls clamped shut back to their original position so it looked like it was a regular box again... Just this time, the poor girl was inside his box which's inside walls were full of spikes. The screams were rather loud, truly. Yos kept the levers as he waited. Tobias

I'm no fool. That scream--it was--there really were no words to describe what he was hearing at the moment. He wanted to cover his ears and close his eyes at the sound. He looked up at Yos for a moment seeing how he actually enjoyed it. There was a feeling that came up through Tobias that he never had before. It was that of anger that burned through his blood as he looked at Yos, "what are you doing?!"
He looked at the box looking at the crimson color of blood coming out from the bottom. The girl kept screaming though so that meant she wasn't dead. Either way--this--wasn't how he had been taught. He looked at Yos once more, "there are other ways to do this! What you are doing right now isn't an interrogation!" He stared at Yos for a long moment before clicking his tongue in distaste.
He didn't want to touch Yos--not when psychotic idiot had his hands on the levers. He looked around for his lance before seeing it balanced against the wall near the chair. Tobias quickly grabbed it before moving towards Yos, "I've already did the interrogation, and she has nothing of use for us. Let her the hell go!" Somehow Tobias was sure he wasn't going to let the girl go.
Tobias pointed the lance's bladed edge towards Yos neck, "you are a soldier of the Plegian army..... Whatever this is--this isn't for the good of our nation....." Tobias glared a cold hard stare at Yos as he kept his blade steady, "open the box....."
